- ClarkAlexander Stewart with a heavy foriegn accent called stating he was from Microsoft IT and my computer has a virus. He stated my microsoft contract has expired. Stated he would give me a code and fix everything so it would run faster. If I don't do this my computer will crash and get a permanent blue screen. I would then need to pay a lot of money to get a new computer. He kept going on and on, could not provide details when asked for them. This is surely a scam!!!
- Caller: Microsoft (supposedly)
- Derek replies to John EdAll the fake posts have the same grammatical errors aind phrasing, you can basically hear the Indian guy on the phone saying them. All the fake posts also have "......." a bunch of dots, if you're going to fake something at least get the English right lol
- Paula replies to robert rougtIt is obvious that you use the same broken English that the caller used. You are obviously with this "company" and using this site to make it sound legit. It is obviously not.
- Paula replies to MartinI have called the local police and they are putting a warning on our nightly news. I am also going to post an alert on my facebook page and let everyone know that if they get a call from you or this number to call the police in their area. This is a scam and you are obviously trying to get into computers to steal money and identities. I hope you get thrown in jail you flea bitten [***].
- JTI am emailing my local newspaper right now. Don't want any folks in the mid west to scammed by a foreign phishery.
- Mary "Gigglez"I live in Everett Washington and I received a call from them about an hour ago!!! I almost fell for it when they called me! The only reason I didn't do as they asked was because the desktop computer at my house is my mom's and I wasn't comfortable doing any system changes on it without her knowledge first. If it was my own computer, I wouldn't have hesitated doing exactly as they had asked me to!!!!! I asked for their information so I could call them back after I verified it was a legit call (which, I could tell irritated them!) and this is the info they gave me..... Number: 1(760)392-3952, Manager's name: Harry Wilson, Employee ID #: 8651. I haven't called the number back, but I'm debating on calling it just to inform them I know what they are up to! I want to spread the word around about them so an innocent person doesn't fall victim to their trap!!! If everyone knows about them, sooner or later they will have to give up trying!!! This whole thing just really gets me all riled up!!!!!
- Caller: Windows technical support
- Virgil Funk| 3 repliesI received a call from them, with the name Steve Williams -but the person had a heavy Indian accent and gave me an company ID number A 60052. What ALL OF YOU people don't realize, is HOW COULD ANYONE KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON INSIDE YOUR COMPUTER?? They'd have to hack into it. So you're told by some strange person on the phone, that you've got problems with your computer? Why don't you think it's strange that someone totally unknown by you has access to your computer?? Or at least SAYS they do.
Scam bam, all the way.- Caller: Microsoft, so they said.
- L A Lark| 3 repliesJessica William, #1102, said that the computer I use was sending error messages. She told me to sit in front of my computer and she would walk me through the repair. I am computer literate, I knew right away she was a hoax. I asked for her # and said I would return her call later. Didn't !
