Oh, these guys. I haven't caught a call from them in probably a year and a half, and may it be forever, though I know my parents have hung up on them at least once since.

A bit of warning for women dealing with this wretched hive of scum and villainy:

Last time I caught a call from them, I told them all my systems run on 'Nux (Linux/Unix, in all its many builds), which is 50% true, and I mainly use that one. Apparently, the guy who called isn't a Linux fan. Instead of hanging up, he got mad, and started asking all kinds of sick sexual stuff.

(I should probably add that I'm a rape survivor. He launched straight into something that triggered my PTSD, and from that moment, I don't even remember the phone being in my hand. There was no "hang up." There was just "don't make it worse.")

I mostly remember demanding his supervisor a dozen times while he tried to wheedle stories and pictures out of me. He even threatened (or "offered") to fly me and a female friend out for prurient reasons. Finally, I got transferred, and thinking back, his (male, alleged) supervisor was listening in. He tried the same thing, and all I remember is demanding that he stop. Come to think, I may have growled. I may have started crying. Whatever I did, the supervisor hesitated, bid me good day (TOO LATE), and hung up.

The skill with which they did this makes me suspect it's a regular thing. Very regular. If it's happened to you, speak up.

Please, don't turn this into some kind of racist or nationalist blood hunt. There are good people and there are oozing pustules with mouths and legs the world 'round. If anything, this stuff just needs to be reported so the FCC and FTC will seriously respond in any way they can.
