Maybe these guys truly provide computer support--but I'm sure the phone calls are a scam is targeting elderly folks.  [***].  I got 3 calls today.  Phone numbers they gave me are 760-392-3952 ext 3 and 1-762-392-3952 ext 2.  One guy said his company is Inex or Inext & website inextsupport.com or inexsupport.com.  Maybe they truly provide some sort of computer support, I don't know--but they should be ashamed--making unsolicited calls to elderly folks to scare them.

At the beginning, it sounds like they're calling from Microsoft or Windows.  They said they're calling me to warn me b/c they've received a lot of error messages related to my computer.  When I ask how they would get error messages from my computer, they say it's via satellite.  When I press them about specifics regarding the computer they're calling about--they're vague, they say something about the computer with Windows XP, but maybe it could be something else, including Apple.  When I asked who they were calling for--they were calling for my mother, who died 2 years ago.  And who never registered with any computer or software company.  The first call, I just hung up.  The second call, I started to press harder with questions.  I ultimately hung up--and I got another call immediately after--saying he was following up b/c I had hung up & he was concerned for me.  Almost like--this issue is so urgent, I had to call you again even though you just hung up on us.

I have my parents' old phone number, I get so many of these calls, they are completely targeting the vulnerabilities of many elderly.

After each sentence, they ask for your affirmation.  Each sentence ends with a question like, "All right?" or "Okay?"  I could so completely imagine my Mother--faced with a noncontroversial question, you say "yes alright okay"--then over time, when you ultimately get to a controversial question--she would feel conflicted about saying no b/c she'd said yes all along.  [***].  The language barrier, there is so much of the communication you understand only 60%--I can so completely imagine my Mother feeling bad b/c she didn't hear well, b/c she didn't understand--I could imagine her affirming further b/c she felt guilty or foolish for not hearing or understanding what they said.  [***].  They're pushy, but in a very polite way, always polite.  When I push back--they asked questions like "why are you disagreeing with me?  what do you disagree with"  Again, I can so imagine my mother, she wouldn't want anyone to think she was being disagreeable, she would cave in just b/c she felt bad about being disagreeable.  [***].  These people who design these scams, it's unbelievable the psychology tactics they use so effectively.

I got so angry after the 3rd call, I called one of their numbers back.  The fellow who answered, I just yelled at:  "You should be ashamed of yourself.  Would you do this to your mother?  Would you do this to your grandmother?  Would you like it if I called your mother like this?"  And this guy said, "Why are you talking to me like this?  I'm just a guy in the tech department?  Why would you talk to me like this?"  It even made me think I was out of line.  My Mom would so be a sucker, she'd probably open her checkbook in order to apologize for her rudeness.  [***].

No one who cold calls offering computer support is legitimate.  Neither Microsoft nor its partners would ever 'phone and the people who do 'phone know nothing about your computer.  They do not know the IP address or the ISP.  They do not know what version of Windows, if any, you are using. They are good at what they do,  which is  frightening elderly people and people who do not know how their computer works into handimg over remote control to them.  If they get it they can install spyware to steal personal information and then charge you money to remove faults which do not exist.  Check out the Microsoft website for full details of the scam and tell your mother not to do anything they ask.

Got a call last night from a "David" with an Indian accent, advising me that there is some sort of issue with my computer. He gave me a call back number of 760 392 3952. Will NOT be returning to call.

me too received this call from support desk and i have gone through that and all my problems get resolved

yes! they are the technician who are very helpful they work inside my computer every month and see my old computer is still running fine after eight years

whenever i face problem i call them and they conect me to thier server and get resolve, they are donig a very good job. and the thing is , some people think that it is a scam because they have type the number(7603923952) in the google search bar and find that its a scam,but its not. If you type in the google bar "google scam" then it will also show you that google is a scam, now you tell me, is Google scam ......???

They said that in near future whenever i face any kind problem with my computer just get back to helpline no ask for her name as Jack Miller...

Also read Microsoft's OWN guidance on this type of scam before you hand over money and give complete control of your PC to "Jennifer" & this bunch of lo-lifes.

I have just received a call from a gentleman named George from phone number 1-760-392-3952.  He has indicated that my computer is reporting to their system that I'm having trouble with Windows and the Internet. He wants me to get on the computer so he can guide me through fixing it.  I have been having trouble with the Internet on a brand new computer, but I have never had them call me.

You appear confused and have made contradictory statements: for the avoidance of doubt, please study previous posts and DO NOT pay these lo-life scumbags any money, they will rob you till your eyes bleed, and take over your computer. And "George" most definitely is NOT a gentleman!!!

Thank you for your reply.  He called back again, I told him I would not be part of his scam, I'm on a no call list and not to call back.  He's calling again as I type this.  What nerve they have.

I meant that by "they have not calling me" that a tech has never called me, I always initiate the call myself.  That is what made me suspicious.
