I recieved the same email and phone number to call. Unfortunately this person decided to scam the wrong person, I also noticed that there were a total of 4 email addresses associated with the conversation between the two of us. alexbaronmartinnesse@globomail.com, mykebee12@gmail.com, awonube@gmail.com, alexbarronmartin@gmail.com

Same scam, same messages... I hope he's caught soon

IF they are in fact a doctor, you'd think they would be able to spell common every day words and possibly speak proper english.

Do not send info to this person.  It is definitely a scam.   She has an name "Mary Smith" appearing as the sender.  iposise@gmail.com is also one of the names.

Go to the gmail site and send them your information requesting that they ban her IP address.  If google gets enough complaints from this IP address, they will be able to ban her from their server.

They claim to respond so I hope they will pay attention to everyone's complaints before someone sends her a refund of the "overpayment.

Has anyone actually received a cashiers check from her?

Same number, same email, same scam--replied to a CL add I put up to sell my stereo.

I got it too.  Looked a little odd to me, so I googled the email address.

Yesterday I posted an ad in Craigslist and I indicated that if the post was up, the item was available.

Today I found an email from:
Alex Martinnesse <lizrofe@gmail.com>

but has a "reply-to" address of: alexbaronmartinnesse@globomail.com

The content of his email:

"Is the item still available and in sound condition."

Obviously either a spammer or scammer.

Same setup and from an ad I posted on craigslist.  glad I researched before sending any more of my info.  Same day got a fake email saying my password for a bank I use had been changed (it had not) so this is a real jerk with too much info and time on his hands.

As of yesterday, 5/21, this NIGERian is still hunting through Craigslist. Do they never give up?

I'm glad I always check phone numbers. This is a craigslist scammer. Becareful.

They are still going strong, or at least trying.

I received this response from Mary Smith several hours after posting a couch and love-seat on craigslist.

uses names mary smith/phillipjohn.

This is common scam, dont be fooled and dont send any information
