Report a phone call from 775-412-4499 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- DaveDon't report them. It only puts your number out there where they can monitor it. Don't answer them. Hang up if you answer the phone. Or start spouting a foreign language. They even monitor these websites. Don't ever put your real name on it.
- lbI have periodically get calls from this number for the past year. But since my only phone is my cell phone I put this number in my address book and set the ringer on silent. They can call forever and I will never ever hear it ring. They have occasionally left a voicemail that seems to start in the middle of the message. If it's a collection agency this has to be bogus because I just got my yearly free credit report and there is absolutely no blemish on that. Besides if anyone like this ever were to need to contact me they can use the US Mail.
- JillianI was told it was Fingerhut but I have never had an account under that or any other name. I have to admit the only good thing about this call was she had such a beautiful british accent, I could have listened to that all day... I have left all my numbers on their do not call list and I really do believe that the call rate has increased. (crazy that way). With all those people losing their jobs are more worried about making ends meet and paying their phone and electric; I highly doubt Fingerhut is at the top of that last. Good Luck to everyone and say a prayer that God will change this around so that we can go back to work a little Quicker and a bit more humble. We all need to stick together during economic hard times.
God Bless America!- Caller: Fingerhut
- breeI have received several voice messages telling me that she is a Ingestagator and I have sveral changes pending They are debt collection company.
- BobbieThanks Shiloh! That's interesting that they auto save information. Sounds very illegal as well.
I've been getting calls as well but it's on old debt so I just let the phone ring. If these weasels think for a moment they can convinvce you of any action against you they will bug you forever. Take my advice and don't answer the phone and don't get into some ridiculous spitting contest with some weasel working in a shady at best business. And listen to Shiloh! Autosave is scary! They can gather all sorts of personal information before you determine if they're a reputable company AND the disclaimers etc. might not be on the first page of information.- Caller: Collection
- DMI keep receiving calls from 775-412-4499 and I don't answer. The message only leaves a beep. I called the number and informed them they needed to stop calling my number. She said are you not Gary Hook. I said no and that the police have been infomed of these calls. She hung up.
- TaniaI got a call from someone from this company telling me that i owe a balance for an unpaid debt to Verizon. I have NEVER had a Verizon Account! WTF! The woman was rude and nasty and all i kept saying to her was I never had a verizon account, not a cell phone or home or business account with them. I dont understand what that is all about?? I'm really pissed off. I think this is some kind of scam!

- MGI got a phone call today on my cell phone and they asked for my husband. The woman got very very rude and started yelling at me when I told her I wanted to know who she was and why she was calling. She said her name was Sue Garrison. She said I could either take her number and have my husband call her or I could give her my information and she'd explain it to me. I said: or I can tell you to kiss my a** and hang up on you. I hung up and she didn't call back.
- Ashleycalled without leaving a message. I've never heard of this number.
- MeI received 2 calls from this number within 2 hours. I didn't answer (unavailable on the caller id) but so far they haven't called back. I have no outstanding bills. I also had a doctors office start mailing me bills and calling saying I owed $15 copay from a visit 15 months ago. I found the receipt for the payment on the date of service and when they called the first time the lady said it was MY responsibility to prove that I had made the payment. I told her that I was the one who wasn't so irresponsible that I lost the proof. I told her that I even had the EOB from my insurance showing that they had informed my insurance that I had paid my co-pay. I did send in a copy with a demand of a letter showing our account paid in full, proceeded to get several more calls and another bill (all within 3 weeks time). Never received a letter until I called and left them a not so nice message. Next day I got a call saying they had received the receipt and where sending out the letter. When I got the letter it showed that they had ALWAYS known that I had paid on the date of service - it was right there in black and white. People must be getting pretty greedy if they are trying to scam me ou of $15 bucks!
- MackenzieReceived 2 calls from this number tonight. They also called on 9/26 during
"lunch hour" we NEVER answer calls without a NAME and NUMBER. If you answer
you are only VERIFYING that the number is a working number and they WILL continue to call. Let the phone ring off the wall.- Caller: UNAVAILABLE

- carinaI got a call from this number early this morning on my cell. I didn't answer. Whomever had called left a message AND part of the message was cut off. So all I got was the number to return the phone call.
- christiI have had 2 calls from this number within a 2 hour window, not answering either one, showing up as unavailable. We continually get calls for the person who used to have this phone number (18 months ago)--seems they dont always update their phone numbers either.
- LadyDeathcall from 775-412-4499 and they never leave a message. All we get on the voice mail is the click of a phone hanging up.
Too bad all the ID says is where the call is from as result it never get's answered - SilverblueI get this call a lot. I have deal with scam bill collectors constantly, since I bought my first car.
1) They HAVE to be able to provide you with EXACTS (who the bill is from, what amount, even a contact phone number for that company, ect.)
2) Ask them, to send you a (or "another") bill via mail. If they refuse, it's a scam.
3) A legit company KNOWS they can be sued for a)threatening you b) being blatantly rude c)Continues calls after it has been clearly stated that they have a wrong number.
4) Watch out, because some scammers do go so far as to send paper notices. READ IT VERY CAREFULLY! If the phone number is dead, it's scam 99% of the time.
5) IF you do a credit report, and something DOES show up on the report... get more then one source for your credit report. Typically if it only shows up on one report, it's another bogus charge, and can be fairly easily removed.
6) Threatening right back usually scares them off. If not, take a canned horn and blow it into the phone every time they call... works wonders! :)
Also, find every resource you can to report this number as fraud. The more people that do it, the better! - KSodYou better check your credit reports from the three major credit reporting agencies. Number on caller ID only says Reno, NV.
- maliapalomaI got three calls from this number over the past two days. This blog was really helpful to me so now I am going to be very helpful to you all. To block calls from this and any other incessant callers - go online at www.donotcall.gov and register your phone number on the national do not call register. The site will walk you through the process. Ever since the economy tanked, this people are coming out of the woodwork like cockroaches, to collect debts that may or may not exist. I received a call from another collector today looking for a woman I had never heard of. So, call, and do not feel the need to answer any of these people. I don't.
- Alaska OneThank you John Felker for leaving that info for FTC Complaint. I filed a compaint against them today regarding the constant calling (and they have the wrong number). Hopefully the FTC can make them stop calling me.
