Report a phone call from 775-412-4499 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- W.T.They call a few times everyday, phone number is listed, but party calling is "UNAVAILABLE." Ridiculous- I don't know anybody by that name. If they were a reputable firm, they wouldn't block their calls. And leave a message too- a hang-up is not a message! It's just harassment.
- Caller: UNAVAILABLE
- mecalldonotHas anyone thought that there are businesses and individuals may be harvesting names and phone numbers from old credit reports and trying to scam those people?
I have received repeated calls from 775-412-4499 and similar numbers repeatedly for years. A long time agp I returned a few of those calls or answered them and usually found that they were trying to collect from more a decade or more past which had been retired way back when. I could see someone who is forgetfull, or their spouse writing and sending a check or using a credit card to pay a debt that did not exist.- Caller: unknown
- jeighlgSo, I just received a call from 775-412-4499. It was a robo-call asking if there was a person of my name at this number. I pressed '1' for yes. I was then put on hold for about 4 minutes, then another robo-voice said, "just a moment, please", and then hung up on me. Now, it is my suspicion that it is the collections company of which you speak, as I get many calls for someone who has the same first/last name but a different SSN (last 4, which I never give out). I just figured, since I have no debts, that it was this again.
However, after reading what you all have said, I think I'll ignore this # from now on. - Annoyed Beyond BeliefI am getting calls from 775-412-4499 on my UNLISTED FAX line that I have had for probably over 5 years. My FAX number is on the National Do Not Call list. The calls have been going on for about 6 months. One ring, the FAX picks up, and they hang up. I finally unplugged the FAX machine and waited for a call. It hung up immediately again, even though the FAX didn't pick up. So I did a *69 on the number and got this number. There is NO caller ID.
This is *very* annoying. After they do this continuously for so long, it hoses up my FAX machine so badly that I have to reboot it. I've missed several important FAXes due to these people. I think maybe I'll have my FAX machine call them back continuously and harass them for a while. - JQuinn| 3 repliesFinally got sick of the calls and hang ups and called back. Spoke to a polite woman who said she was trying to collect a debt from a credit card in 2001. I asked her to email me some kind of proof, she said she wasnt allowed to email me but she would send a letter to my house. I'm going to read it but I know I've never had a credit card with or heard of bank of Marrin/Maren.
I try to be as polite as the person I'm speaking to but I'm going to lose my patience really fast if they don't stop calling.
How do I prove I don't owe this money and how do I get them to stop calling? - DustinJust rec'd a call from the same number. Same deal - press 1, put on hold, nothing.
I called back. First National Collections or something similar. They're looking for another guy with my name (he's been on my credit report in the past). They said they'll remove my number from the file.- Caller: 775-412-4499
- try this :Dnext time I see this number, I will blast the radio, put the phone by the speaker and hit the answer button!!!!
- BruceDoes anyone know Eugene Mutchler? I don't. Stop calling!
- Caller: Unavailable
- NunyaI haven't had any type of credit for so long it's not funny (over 15 yrs ago). I had been getting calls from a different collection agency on my cell number that I'd only had for like 6 months and who they were asking for was some black chic (it was shaniqua or something like that).. I'm completely white. Finally had to contact the do not call list, they said they couldn't do anything, however, within 1 week after I reported the other number, the calls stopped. Now, 6 months later, I'm getting some spanish recorded number harrassing me. I can't understand them and I'm not hispanic. So I once again just reported that number to the do not call list. I'm hoping once again, within a week I will no longer receive these calls. One day these idiots will learn we won't put up w/their b.s. so stop wasting everyone's time and get a life!
- bobThey've been calling me for the last week. I suspect it's from a long ago written off loss and handed to them for a price. Finally answered and when the robo-prompter asked me to press 1 or 2........I pressed 2 hehehe.
Not sure if this will work, but if you need me to confirm you're calling the right number......take a hike.
I hate collection agencies and often times wonder about the people working for them. I understand we all need to make a living, but being an [***] 8 hrs a day 5 days a week?
They are heartless and relentless. I have bad memories from my childhood and these people calling my newly widowed mother at all hours........harassing her to no end.
I enjoy writing them tickets.....now that's a righteous calling. Of course they don't list their given occupation as a collection agent. - joemamaCalled here twice today- clicks off when they hear the answering machine message. Caller ID says "UNAVAILABLE" - hey, if YOU'RE Unavailable, then So Am I. Leave a message, don't just hang up.
- Caller: UNAVAILABLE
- LoisGot a call out of the blue from this "collection agency". They are a fraud obviously. Asked for my SSN and I told him to take a leap. Don't talk to this group.
- Caller: National Collections
- Call type: Debt collector
- JessicaA chinese woman trying to collect something from me.....!
- Lind PhanThey keep calling my house and i do not know who they are
- BruceThey called again around 730pm and didn't leave a message.
- eedjutsThey call here two or more times DAILY including weekends. Never identify themselves or state who they are calling. Or leave a message, as I don't answer a call that says the identity of the caller is "UNAVAILABLE." What the other guy said, 'if you're not available, then neither am I!" Leave a message.
- Caller: *UNAVAILABLE*
- M.T.they keep calling -from different numbers..sometimes leaving very vague automated voicemails..other times no message left... very annoying...as they call several times at all hours.
- princesshippieThis is a new number that keeps calling me. Dont know who it is or how they got my number!!!
- NVrights replies to JQuinn| 1 replyNV statute does not allow an entity or person to collect on a debt that is older than 6 years, unless there is a judgment tied to it and the creditor is just getting it extended in court; that's a whole other problem. Also, send them a certified letter telling them to stop contacting you at your home address and phone number. If they don't comply, then file a complaint.
