714-495-4807 & 213-261-0003 (with OUT OF AREA caller ids) are other numbers used too.

We've been getting calls from this number for over a month.  When we answer, they ask for someone we've never heard of and they say, "we'll remove your number from the database".  But we keep getting calls!  They've even called us 8 am on Saturday and one Sunday afternoon. Unbelievable!

I never brought anything from Fingerhut and have no intention of return their call, they just joined my do not call list...

Just received a call from this number. No Message left. Probably a bill collector calling for the previous owner of my cell phone number like usual.

I received a call from 775-412-4499  yesterday.  Was much too sick to pay attention to the recording of the company name.  Guy said he was calling to collect on a credit card that I haven't had in 9 years!  He said himself the last payment was in September of 2001.  I told him I'm sure the original creditor has charged it off by now and seeing as the debt is over 7 years old, he cannot call me to collect on it.  He said it doesn't matter how old it is he can call as much as he likes.  Told him to have a good day and hung up.  

Received another call this morning from 240-210-7113 asking for someone I don't even know.  I don't know if they're connected but it's disturbing that these calls are coming in on my personal toll-free number.

I got two calls today from 1-775-412-4499 with no message left either time.

I called them to see what they wanted. They more than willing told me who they were looking for but doing so by breaking a federal law.. Trying to access personal information from a third party individual, with no personal connection to the party they are seeking.

I have received multiple calls from 262-478-0662 and 775-412-4499. I called them back, after many disconnections, and rude operators... I finally talked to a very nice young lady who said she was from First National Collection Bureau and that they were looking for a "Gerald Collins". I politely told her that I am not Gerald Collins and that I have had my phone number for over 5 years now, and to delete it from their database. She complied... or so I thought and my number was removed. That was Friday... today however I received yet another phone call from 262-478-0662, and called them back and lashed out at the operator on the other end of the line who tried to "reassure" me that my number had been deleted from the data base itself and that this was simply the "auto-caller" finishing off however many times my number had been entered in to the system for it to call me and that all calls should end in a few days. I told her I didn't appreciate having to use my airtime to call her and tell her that I no longer wanted any phone calls to come to my phone from either number, and that if I received any further phone calls after today I was going to drive myself down to wherever it is that her phone number comes from, walk in to her office building and not so politely shove my foot up her ass. Consequently... I am not an angry person, but rather someone who works third shift, and can not afford to be interupted while I am sleeping. Constantly calls my home.   The call is a recording looking for a Mr. Hogan.  I am not Mr. Hogan

This number calls our home several times a week and they are looking for someone who doesn't even live here.  The call is always automated and it gives the option to push 1 if I am that person and 2 if I am not that person.  We always push 2, but they keep calling!  This is getting very aggravating, especially since I work from home and they sometimes even call very early in the morning and wake us up!

They hounded my grandmother for weeks saying they were trying to collect on a pay advance she never paid on .. she has not worked in 20 years and never got pay advances. Now they are calling my house looking for her .. remember she is 84 years old!! they gave a 800-824-6981 number to call back to. They just put you on hold forever!

If you write them a letter to stop calling at work they ahve to by law.  And you can say stop calling the home number too or cell phone or any other phone you have. Fair Debt Collection Act.

Just received a call from 775-412-4499, very rude people.  I hung up on them, but not before I threatened to turn them over to the Consumer Credit for Fair Credit Acting people.  Most of these collection agencies don't care as they scare people into paying them and don't get sued very often.

Here is a sure fire method for getting rid of these jerks permanently as suggested by Bill Handel.  Just say "Stop harassing me and I am going to start recording this conversation right now."  Bing!  They are gone!

These clowns called again.  Guess what?  I did default on a credti card a long time ago but they aren't going to get anything from me.  if they decide to come after me, I wish them all the luck in the world because bringing their A+ game won't be good enough.  The burden of proof is on them and not me.  Besides,  I hold a unique ability to file proper paperwork in a courthouse.  A collection lawyer is someone who was lucky enought to pass the LSAT and couldn't start a practice chasing ambulances. :)

continue getting fraudulent calls from this number and also 800-824-6191.  Told by the police it may be linked to TechWare spyphone systems, allowing people to track cell phone calls and numbers fraudulently (in most states).  Needs to be reported by EVERYONE in order to be stopped.
