Called most folks at my office today - Left on voice-mails, cell phones - Never had telemarketers get through like this - disrupting workers that are meant to take customer calls - Whoever this is should be charged!

Wow.  Can you believe our luck?  All of us won 10,000 points courtesy of airmiles.  What a great day!

Just got the same type of call from a Vancouver number 604-304-9898.

been getting calls about every 2nd day   "congrats you have won 10 thousand Airmiles"

I got a call on my Fido cell on a Friday at 8:15pm
so annoying. the call came from 780-851-8989

ugh i get that everyday on my business phone... its coming from and area code number 604

Got a call last week from this number telling me if i accept i will win 10,000 airmiles. Then i was ask if i was 25 or older so i told them i was, as well if i was a major credit card holder and again i told them i was i told them i was, and there is no way "your " going to get my credit card number then hung up.

I just got a call saying I won 100,000 air miles and to press 1 to confirm.  I didn't press 1.  The number they called from was 604-304-9898

I got the call this morning on my cell from a 905-499-4554.  Told me I won 100,000 airmiles.  New it was scam like the Westjet one, so I did press 1 to see what they had to say.  After waiting over a minute, a man came on with a slight accent and said that to confirm my vacation resort winnings (which is not what the original recorded message said I won) I had to qualify after a few questions.  Are you over 25...yes, do you carry a valid credit card?  I laughed and said Nice try buddy and hung up.

I think if I get another call, I'm going to play along for as long as I can, just to make them think they actually duped me.  Then SLAM em!!

Seem to be one of these every other day now. Supposedly coming from different area codes, but I'm sure these are spoofed.  Seen 604, 780 and 289 so far, all end either 8989 or 9898.  All are for different companies (Airmiles, Air Canada Jazz, Costco, Canadian Tire...), all say press 1 because you've won something, then they apparently try to scam you out of your credit card number to pay for taxes, fees or shipping.

i got a call from 403-674-2323 saying i won 100,000 air miles and to press "1" which i did - it rang four or five times and then hung up

Just got a call saying I had won 10,000 air miles.  Hung up.  Also on the "do not call list".

I just got this message, but from a Saskatchewan number 306-986-2442, and while I was writing down the number to check it out, it disconnected.

well I guess that they changed the number to (514) 671-8989 since I just got the call tonight, and was not smart enough to hang up!! After pressing 1, I got a really annoying music (that should have made me hang up!!) and got disconnected.  Nothing about contest on the AIr Miles website.

I got a phone call saying that I won 10 000 Air Miles and to dial 1. I hung up. The call came from Pointe Claire in Montreal, Quebec and the phone number was 514 671-8989.  Has anyone dialed 1?

Had I wanted to pay for the information of who was calling, 411 reverse lookup indicated that it could have provided it.

Got a message from Air miles saying that I ha won 10000 miles.  My call came from 514 671 8989.
Looks like the scammers have changed their base of operations
