- RickThey have called me five times five days in a row last month. I am glad I found your site -- I did NOT answer. I am on the government's DO NOT CALL list, but this beyond-the-U.S. scammer doesn't comply with that list.
I filed a written complaint with the FCC, and got a form letter back saying that they won't do a thing about it because the call comes over VOIP from beyond the United States. (They had a bunch of bureaucratic gobble-de-[***] in the letter, but essentially that's what it mean. The FCC hasn't done squat for any consumer complaints in the last eight years.)
Don't answer... just let it ring. They never leave a message. While it's a nuisance to have to screen calls with caller ID, at least we know that this is a fraud.- Caller: Unknown off-shore scammer
- freddy2As above, this Miami,FL telemarketer keeps calling and calling just about every day. Once the answering machine OGM finishes, then this caller always hangs up, with never a message left. Telemarketer for auto insurance or else someone attempting to commit some sort of fraud.
- Caller: WARRANTY ALERT
- Concerned CitizenToday is 04/13/09 and I just received a call from this number as well
(786)369-7342. I'm so thankful there's sights like this so we can keep each other informed. It was automated to begin with advising me that my vehicle warranty was about to expire and how unsafe it would be if I elected not to purchase additional coverage. I knew my vehicle had not been under warranty for a couple years now but to see what scam these people were going to try, I opted to speak with a representative. A guy immediately asks for the year, amke and model of my vehicle. I replied, "You're calling me about a vehicle of mine that you're saying is about to run out of warranty, so what vehicle so YOU have on file for the number you're calling?" He cleared his throat, I heard the tone of two buttons on the phone being pushed and he he diconnected the call. I attempted to call the number back three times and each time it said it was disconnected or no longer in service. I have no doubt this was an attempt to scam me out of money by convincing me that if I send a check or money order, I'll suddenly have another five years worth of warranty! These people irritate the heck out of me and I believe they do this crap because they know it's nearly impossible for us to locate them and punish them physically. - JayThey call every day on my cell phone but I do not answer.
thanks to all who posted so I could find out this info.
I am also on the do not call for my cell.- Caller: none
- AaronThey keep calling me, I answered but didn't say anything, then I heard a "cough" and they hung up. Whoever it is, if you get a change to speak with someone, I suggest the tactic of attempting to seduce the caller into a passionate night of debauchery.
- Marythey have called 1 to 3x DAILY here for the past month
really annoying
if the calls are from a customer of Paetec you can be put on the internal do not call list according to Customer Care

E-mail: customercare@paetec.com- Caller: peatec.com
- JoanGot the same thing. A cough and then I said again, "Hello" no response so I hung up.
- MikeReally funny that I also hear a cough then a recorded message started to play about some kind of warranty. I hung up after the recorded message started.
- Caller: Warranty Alert
- WendI continue to get calls from this number after several request to stop calling. How can I make this stop. They are calling my home number, cell number and my childrens cell number.
- SharonWarranty Alert. They don't want to talk about a warranty on my Corsair or Phantom but can't tell me what vehicle is needing a warranty. We get at least one call a day on two seperate phone lines, some time twice a day. I don't have time for this intrusion.
- Caller: Warranty Alert
- kitI have repeatedly asked them not to call so... my resolution is to have a whistle by the phone. When they call I push "1" for the rep. I then ask which car they are referring to "is it this one?" and then I blow the whistle.
- JBReceived 5 phone calls today and am convinced that it is from the same company/scammer(s). Sometimes the Caller ID displays CALLER UNKNOWN and sometimes it displays this phone number: 786-369-7342. I just received a call from this company as I am typing this complaint!!! When I answered the phone just now, I paused and then said "hola!". They then hung up. Ha! Guess they don't like spanish! Answer your phone in another language! They seem to not like that! All of our phones are registered on the government's Do Not Call Registery. Make sure your's are too! Adios!
- EllenWarranty Alert is what it says on the caller ID. When I answered they hung up immediately. When I called back they said "This will be the most financially rewarding call you have received." I hung up at that point. They are very annoying
- Caller: WARRANTY ALERT
- GWGot the call..AGAIN..and waited. A recording started about last chance (YEA, RIGHT.haha) to renew auto warranty. (?? we have all new cars) Waited till end of "B.S." story and pressed #2 to be removed from calling list (AGAIN). Recording apologized (??) for any inconvenience. haha Waiting to see, not if, but "WHEN" they call again. There has to be a legal way to stop these "A.H.'s?? No one to report them to and they know it!!!!
- Caller: Only phone number
- JoeI receive these calls every other day. As you all already know, they are extremely annoying.
How can we stop them?? Who can we report them to??- Caller: Warranty Alert
- PDthey called me again, this the second time in 3 or 4 days. Didn't pick up again.
- elizaI answered and they hung up
- Caller: ?
- Speed Racerhung up
- PhyllisIt says on the caller ID that it is warranty alert, this is a company that wants you to extend your warranty on your car, they want all your information at least the ones I get by mail do, and I do not need them or their services and would not give them any information anyway. This is just an assumption on my part. When I answered they hung up in my face so I am now going to report them to the government DNC thing not that really stops any of them
- Joe D.These idiots have been calling me for a while. I followed the comment above
"if the calls are from a customer of Paetec you can be put on the internal do not call list according to Customer Care
Phone: 877.340.2600
http://www.paetec.com/info/phone.html"
And I am supposedly having my phone number placed on Paetec's internal DNC List. Thanks for the suggestion. Paetec is claiming that they are reselling phone services to external clients who are not using the National DNC List.- Caller: Not Known
