This is more than a scam. There is a data breach somewhere. They are accessing data from some source and it may be the IRS. This needs to be investigated.

I got a suspicious, cheap-looking yellow slip/postcard with no address on it telling me to call 800-230-8750 with respect to a recently closed mortgage - it said that it was a time-sensitive message and to call as soon as possible. I suspected it was scam, but I simply phoned the number to find out who was on the other line - i got a message from an answering machine. Then I switched off the phone call and decided to google the number, instead, and found out from this website that it was a scam postcard! I wish the US anti-corruption agency and the police will catch these crooks because it is the elderly who easily gets scammed by these irritating postcards - I am very angry with these crooks

Data not from the IRS.  They are getting names & addresses from public real estate records.  Just throw the card in the trash.

    Ugh
Got a yellow card with the same number everyone else listed. My mortgage is not closed. Nor did I call the number. I knew a post card was baloney.  I. The meantime, every ad that shows up on this page is regarding mortgages. I think they won.

Received same pink card in mail today requesting same information to call with Mortgage ID number. From the comments below I know this must be a scam. From the dates on here this scammer must have taken some time off. I am going to call them back and make uo some numbers for my Mortgage ID and see what they say. LOL
