I got a call this morning from 800-331-0500.  When I asked why he was calling he hung up.
I have an automatic call recorder on my cell.  I replayed the message.  He does identify he is with AT+T.
The ironic thing, I use SPRING and also registered with "do not call" on the phone.
Why are these scammers calling me?  This is the first with this number, but have had IRS scam x2.

I don't have att and do not use cc to pay bills

You can request AT&T not to put any third party billing on your bill.

Got a call from this number (two times in a row) but did not answer as I was on another call. I am glad I looked it up because this certainly sounds like a scam. It came up as Verizon Wireless (which is my carrier).

Just reviewed my CC statement and noticed a fraudulent charge from this number as well. As far as I can tell, I didn't get any calls from this number on the day the charge occurred. I have taken the proper action!

When i do not know a number, I do not pick it up, went on here, and now seeing all these complaint's, i Will be checking my bill, and if any bogus charge's occur on my bill, i will be flipping a switch, apparently this has been going on for a long time, and it is not resolved?

Received a call from a "recorded" IRS message telling me I owe them money, "It is my final warning". I was told I needed to call 404-936-3498. My caller ID showed the call came from 800-351-0500

As far as I can tell this is NOT ATT. When you call the whole thing is fake. They are duplicating what ATT does when you call them. Check ATT's toll free number and give them a call. You then can compare the difference.

I got a call from this number at 4:36 PM on Wed. 01/20/2016.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave message.  Above reports indicates scammers.  Thanks for the heads up -- I'll check my bill for unauthorized charges.

Don't call this number - got a fake text message from AT&T telling me to call it. It's bogus

Called after 8pm with a robo message from ATT stating that my phone wouldn't work and that I must go to an ATT store to upgrade my phone to LG 3 and or 4. Not sure if this message was a scam or legit.

It's a scam.  I was lulled into giving them the six digit pin number that AT&T texted while I was on the call with the scammer.  The scammer called to notify me that my neighborhood was being upgraded and that my family will be out of the phone network for an hour or two.  The caller said he needed me to read back to him the six digit pin number that he (AT&T) would soon text me with as an acknowledgment that AT&T did notified me.  I thought nothing of it and gave the pin number to him.  Next thing I know, all the Next plans have been paid off with my credit card that was on the account, and they charge the account with two new additional Iphone 7s.  All of this done at the Apple store, since they couldn't do it AT&T website or the  AT&T or Best Buy stores .  So beware that these scammers can get away with just using a temporary six-digit pin number.

Jana you should never ever give any information by phone and specially your social not even the last 4 digits. Hope nothing bad happen and learn from this mistake.

Yes! The same exact came on my bank account and I had to call my bank to disput it cause we don't have att or bought anything from them. I am so mad. They took $91 out of our bank account.

Got phone call saying towers were going to be down 8 to 12 hours. And wanted to wave the bill but needed a credit card funny.

I received this call 10 minutes ago and as with any unknown number with a thick Indian accent, i told them I was not who they were trying to reach.  After giving a false name they identified as AT&T billing and offered me an unlimited data package and an $80 rebate.  Already feeling a scam coming on i allowed the woman to talk up to the point she requested my AT&T password.  She stated she needed it in order to enter my data and proceed with the rebate.  I immediately called her out on being a scam, terminated the call and blocked the number.
