- ARI had a similar experience happen on my last bill. I added a line awhile ago and my friend uses that one. On 6/25/08, on her line, there was a charge neither of us had ever heard of or knew about for $9.99. The Merchant's Name was OpenMarket and the description was from Predicto, though the contact number was this AT&T service number, 800-331-0500.
Googling Predicto says it's some mobile game/contest site, but my friend's never been there and has never entered her number in anywhere. Yet the AT&T bill said she'd downloaded/purchased something. My friend's phone is old and incapable of internet, she never buys ringtones, and she doesn't text. She did recall *receiving* a couple of weird texts from an internet company, which she replied 'stop' to, but we're not sure how they got the number in the first place.
I called AT&T and they were nice about it and removed the charges. I also had a purchase blocker put in place. Replying here so that others will be aware of the scam company names OpenMarket and Predicto.
(This seems to happen to a lot of people who have family plans or multiple lines. I have to wonder if this is because these are easier to target somehow or because these scammers think those people are less likely to look closely at the entire bill?)- Caller: OpenMarket/Predicto
- Mark L. WattsSame thing here too.. getting charged for something I dont care to have and as far as I can remember never ever would want. ie.(I Replying here so that others will be aware of the scam company names OpenMarket and Predicto.)
- Teri RobertBeware of Blinko.com. It's also associated with this at $9.99 per month. Last month, they said they'd unsubscribed me, yet I was charged again this month.
- Tot Nguyen B.I recieved my phone bill, i was stunt with the total amount. This is not exceptable. Why AT&T don't do any things about it, all they 're just know how to collecting but not investigate.
- AlaskaJuly and August bills included charges of $19.99 for FIREBIRD" 525252#6795
MERCHANT CONTACT # IS 1-800-331-0500. I am reporting this to ATT - PaulEOJust found a charge on my Visa Statement with this phone number in it - the charge was for $76!! Glad this site was here - I can follow up with AT&T (my cell provider) to find out what's up.
- Upset Customer in CaliforniaI didn't receive any calls but my credit card (my AT&T phone bill is automatically charged to my credit card) was charged for $42.77. Coincidentally (or suspiciously), my AT&T phone bill last month was for $42.77. I have never sent a text message or used the internet on my phone. I also do not spend time on myspace nor have I tried to find my "crush. The full description for the charge on my credit card is "ATTM *436054702853 8003310500 GA".
- judyThe recurring charge for Bid4Prizes3 is from a company called Intrinsic. Good luck in trying to cancel it. Their phone is 800 861-7414. We all have to say were not going to continue paying for this stuff we never ordered!
- KLSReceived a call from here. Checked out this site (thanks for being here) Called them to have them identify themelves and tel lme why they called me. They asked me to give them my cell phone and they would do a search on it to see why they called me. ("DUH, Sure, and please take my Social Security # and bank account numbers while yo are at it") Anyway I said I would just call AT&T and deal with it from that side. In all honesty the man who answered the ophone was very polite. I checked my AT&T bill and SURE AS SHOOTING, my son's phone had a charge on it from this number for $9.95. THe somehow linked that phone to mine (family calling plan) I have a call into my son and then I'll call AT&T!
- Steve Mencik| 1 replyThis number appears on my credit card bill as the customer service number for ATT Mobile (formerly Cingular). It is simply the monthly charge for my families wireless service. Nothing sinister.
- Carrie B.Just started getting texts...
"Free AT&T Message" saying that my mailing address has been changed to account #---- and if this was done in error, to please call 800-331-0500. Um...I don't have an acct with such a number. And I'm certainly not dumb enough to text back for more info! I am on Cingular/AT&T, and a few months ago we added a third line. Don't know if that has anything to do with this or not.- Caller: AT&T
- Carri B.Forgot to add that the caller ID is 1111487799
- kellythis number showed up in my credit card bill, and i didn't recognize the charge. it turns out it was my phone bill (AT&T) that i had just paid and forgotten about. it is legit.
- Caller: at&t
- duprejI get a text message from this number just about every month. They charge me over $10.00 for this. How can I get it to stop. Will I be charged if I don't open it?
- Caller: Bid4prizes3
- GreggThis looked suspicious at first when it appeared on my monthly credit card statement but it turned out to be for a monthly AT&T Mobility cell phone charge.

- dalynni recieved a phone call from 800-331-0500 and they told me it was a dr. and had a couple questions to ask me. i didn't know who the dr. was and asked him again what his name was. then he asked me who my dad is and what would i do. i then hung up. the number called back about 2min. later and he said i have few more questions to ask you and this is the big surprise. i then asked him not to call me back and then put my husband on the phone and the person on the phone then hung up. we tried calling back and it said we had to use a land line and gave us this number to call. this number is the customer service number for at&t. this is crap that we get charged for anwering our own phone and having to pay for there stupid games.
- Caller: at&t
- Deirdre in MiamiThe charge is YOU using your CREDIT CARD to pay your cell phone bill!
Don't panic, I did the same thing, "OMG, who is ATTM 8003310500 ?!?!"
Check your cell phone bill from last month, relax, enjoy the weekend.
