Same number, different vendors:  One is My-Cast Weather and the one is SendMe for a total of $13.98.  Also an internet Xpress charge of $23.30.  Thanks to AT&T Wireless, they credited both of these unauthorized charges, but did say that it could take up to two months for the $13.98 credit to appear.  Beware!  Check you cell phone bills....

1-800-331-0500 is the number that popped up on my cell phone when I activated it and AT&T called to confirm that it worked.

I just got charged $180.32!  Ridiculous.  I am literally on the phone with them right now.  The number is their 800 #.  When I said it he seemed to instantly understand that it was their fault.

The charge doesn't show up in their system, must be some weird little company they have going.  Either way I did not authorize and will threaten to call BBB amongst other things if I do not get not only my money back but some type of free service/additional credit.

I just got my AT&T Bill with a charge of $19.99 on it from OPERATELE: 7574#80899 from a merchant 1-800-331-0500.  I don't have a clue what this is all about.

Had same issue as jajamison immediately above, but with slightly different #s.... charge of $19.99 (+ tax of $1.69) for OPERATELE:75714#8089 from Merchant Name: Mblox and Merchant Contact of 1-800-331-0500... date of charge is 11/10/2008... This must be the scam for November...

Wow... Everybody got charged for 19.99 up to 100 something dollars... Mine got charged 256.24!!!!! Are you kiddin me? Crazy!!!!  I'm definately calling these guys first thing tomorrow and scream at them. Don't even want to think about how many people got screwed over because they don't regularly check their bills. Terrible!

I got the same thing.  They refunded $120.00.  The bill always seemed to high for what we purchased.  They refunded it with no questions asked.  First guy said "Yes, I see two months worth of charges" and issued a refund.  I then audited the account and found a years worth....liars.  It was burried in the bill as 9.99 charge

yep, I got a charge for $9.99 -- don't know how this happened.  I did not intentionally sign up for anything.  I called and got my refund and got my blocker.  Pure and simple, I believe this practice is intentionally deceptive.  No telling how much money unsuspecting people lose this way, and how much the unethical make this way.

This is an AT&T phone number.  If you pay your bills online, then this number would show up on the CC statement.  Not a FRAUDULENT Charge...

I looked at my January 09 cellular bill and noticed a $19.99 download purchase from BULLROARE:25184#8536 Merchant name: Mblox.  Exactly what or who the hell is this?  I did not authorize this download nor will I pay for it.  This is unauthorized and will be turned into the proper authorities if not handled immediately.  All download authorizations and charges can NOT be placed on my bill without consent either by voice or text from me.

It's legit as others have written. I questioned it at first then after reading from others that it was their cell phone bill, I confirmed mine was. In my case, I have my cell phone charged to my credit card. I checked my monthly statement and it's my cell phone charges for the month.

Another random person with this charge on my AT&T bill.... 9.99 didn't sign up for anything just randomly received a txt message saying this is a free msg and you wont be billed now or in the future.... what a lie. never asked for it, never wanted it. don't even know what it is or what i supposedly got from it....

Got this bill on wife's phone.  Rep told me it was for ringtones...wife never downloaded ringtones on her phone.  Got charge the $14.99 and AT&T removed with no questions.

Yep, just got my AT&T Wireless bill; had a 800-331-0500 number for the merchant MBlox with a charge of 9.99.  The merchant number when called was answered by AT&T, and they insisted that my son had somehow put his number in on some website and it had subscribed him to something called 'Firebird'. He vehemently denies it, and I beleive him after reading other complaints.  We don't have any internet service on any of our phones...

My most recent bill for AT&T had four charges for 19.99 for "Communications Purchases and Downloads" from FIREBIRD:346346#8352      Mblox   1-800-331-0500.  The customer service representative informed me the "Firebird app was downloaded" but the representative quickly provided a credit in the amount of the charges of $83.96 which included 1.00 for tax charge for each "download".

I was about to disconnect the phone line with no questions asked for a family member when I did a Google for the "Firebird 1 (800)331-0500" and found out this very helpful information.

With the AT&T rep they were to block "communication's purchases and downloads"..
Apparently this still continues.. but I'll continue to watch my total bill amount but start taking a closer look at the details..

We get at least 4 calls a day from AT&T asking about upgrading our
DSL service. We ask each time to be removed from their calling list.
We have 4 lines and 4 x 4 I think is still 16 calls a day from these

enuff english to be calling period.!

I never made the call for what this was charged for on my AT&T bill.

They called my tracfone and asked for a Miss Hoopda

We apparently dont read our bills very well. We have been getting charged $9.99 a month for at least 5 months. Same number and company as everyone else. Although this was for some type of horoscope thing. We dont even read ours in the paper, why would we pay $10 for it? Anyways, he said he could only undo the current charge, and couldnt do anything about the others. When I told him I really dont like ATT and only use them because everyone else does(free mobile to mobile) he said its my responsibility to read my bills monthly. Yeah, no kidding, but its not some phone operators responsibility to lecture me on life. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and he became rather indignant and asked why I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I proceeded to tell him that its BS that you can only do one months worth. Apparently, thats a company policy and the supervisor couldnt do anything about it. After telling him great, I still want a supervisor, I was put on hold for over 30 minutes, at which time I was tired of waiting, and dinner was ready. So I hung up. I guess I get $10 refunded.

Forgot to mention that this charge has apparently been on our bill for about 5 months.
