You are correct.  I called back and was very, very uncomfortable with all the information they were asking from me on the phone and I hung up.  Then I called the number on the card and they transferred me too many times to count and again made me nervous.  So, I went into my local branch.  They had indeed called and it was no big deal, but everything about it was not well handled on their part.  The voicemail is a scary robocaller, and I'm sorry, but I don't like being transferred overseas for a fraud thing.

Got the same call.  Called the number back and was not comfortable with the situation so I called the local branch and they did identify that a check had been flagged and needed to be verified.  Got the fraud department phone number from the local branch (877) 691-8086 option 4 and spoke to a representative that verified the account info, my info, and the check info and all is good for now.

I wrote a check for $2,000, this was an unusual transaction.

This is a real Chase phone number. Its the fraud department. I made a large Chase QuickPay and the rejected it because I was sending to a new person not on my list. Chase wanted to make sure it was I making the transfer.

Its definitely Chase but I didnt trust it so I hung up and called the number on the back of my card. They confirmed the number is theirs.

Got 4 calls about 45 minutes apart. They are very persistent. Did not pick up!

It is an automated call from the Chase fraud unit. They called me to verify an online transfer that I had authorized.They did not ask for personal identifying information, only the zip code associated with the account. Once that was done, the system asked me to verify a transfer that I had ordered about an hour earlier.

I got a message from this number. I just called Chase through the number at chase.com and asked about the number. Is is indeed an official Chase number for their fraud detection program. If you have any doubts, call Chase directly at the number on their web site and they can transfer you to the fraud department. Turns out I did a large transfer yesterday and they wanted to make sure it was me.

This number keeps calling, I answered it and claimed to be Chase Fraud. Called the bank and there is no such number again. Be aware and block it on your phone! Call the bank and check your accounts too!

Chase said my account is fine.  This number says my account is in jeopardy of interruptions.  I believe Chase.  I did not return the call to this number.

I just got a phone call with this number with the same message, "this is from Chase Fraud Prevention, to avoid issues with your account call us and provide XXX code".
I called Chase and they confirmed they did not call me, and this is NOT their number.

I received a text about a fraudulent charge, followed up immediately by an automated phone call from this number claiming to be Chase Fraud Dept., and then was put on hold.  I hung up and called the number on the back of my card.  Chase informed me it was a scam and the number is not affiliated with Chase.

This is a legit number from Chase. I made a few large transactions online and got a call from this number about 30 minutes later. The only thing that I have to provide to verify identity is the zip code. It then stated the amount of the transfer (which matches what I did online) and the bank the money was going to and asked me to verify if it was correct.

I've received a few calls from this number today. The recorded message says it is from "Chase online Fraud Dept."  I checked with Chase, and there was no record of this number in their phone book. Phishing call.  Be very very careful!

I am here to report that to this day 2/12/18 they have still not changed the way they handle this.  I also called chase and they did verify that it was a real number.  I too left a complaint on the way the verify themselves.  It seems they are unwilling to fix this issue.
