This number showed up 3 days, same time, no message. Back searched it, came up with BOA Fraud Dept.  I called their real Customer Service number and inquired.  No problem with my CC nor checking account, but the rep reluctantly admitted BOA "MIGHT" have some promotion or service offered." Instructed rep to mark accounts, "No promotions, only call if there's are real problem."  In other words, this was just another telemarketing pitch.

I have not gotten a phone call from this number but I received an email from BOA stating that I had a charge on my checking account that resulted in insufficient funds and that I needed to pay it within 5 days or I'll get charged $35. Well, there's no way this could be possible since I closed all my accounts 2 months ago. I called BOA's emergency number for lost or stolen cards to ask them about it.

They said they did not see any open accounts or any way that could be possible. He suggested it was phishing and that there was nothing to peruse. A few days later I got a letter in the mail stating the same thing in the email. The number it told me to call was 1-800-432-1000 but that was not the number I was calling to speak with the BOA representatives. So I called again and they still could not find any open accounts or charges. They told me to talk the letter to a BOA manager so that it can be sent to the fraud department because these were not being sent by BOA.

It seems VERY legit but I wouldn't just throw out my social or give info that seems unusual for them to ask. I'm 99% sure this is a scam.

I got a message from someone, who identified herself from Bank of America.  She said that our call was disconnected and that I should call back 800-432-1000 or 877-247-3220 in Spanish.  My caller ID showed that she called from 415-436-5900.  I called that number back and the message stated that she, Mary Kate, had changed her number to 415-436-4701.  when I call that number, it's disconnected.  We called BOA, who had a record of someone calling today to make a claim in the Electronic Transaction department.  Careful.

I was told that Bank of America Home Loans had mail returned and that I needed to call to verify they had the correct address.  I'm sure they know where I live since they pretty much own the entire home.

Seems that some calls are legit and some are not.

I received a call on my phone stating there were charges on my credit card in Guatamala.  Several purchases.  At the end of the call there was a laugh ha ha some joke.  Evidently it was an automated machine and they hung up.  A  searched 1-800-842-1000 online and it came up as BOA
I do not have any accounts with BOA

Got a call from 800-432-1000. Anjoli told me she represented the Bank of America "Service Request Team," and needed more information from me about a call I made yesterday asking questions about my "bonus points." She said she needed more information about the transaction I questioned about how many bonus points I was to receive.

My wife is a Bank of America credit card employee, and I know their "bonus points" are actually called "rewards points." Anjoli sounded legit, so I told her I would ask my wife if she had made an inquiry about my bonus points. She told me to call back to 800-421-2113 after I spoke to my wife.

My wife never made any such call either. I called back to find out if this was a scam, and all I got was a message telling me to call 10-15-15-8000 which is another scam phone number according to this website.

I strongly feel that this CALLER ID was not the real number (it's easy to spoof the ID )  Yes, this is the 800 for Bank of America # but the questions were all red flags, the caller wanted my info to verify.  It's they are BofA they have it.  I asked them to verify my any of my account numbers last 4 digits.  The caller hung up.

WARNING...  the number is not always as CALLER ID states.

A month ago, I received a letter from FIA card services stating that they had changed the terms of my credit card agreement.  The only credit cards that I might have been issued (but never used) were sent to me by a local bank (not Bank of America) I had an account with.  I closed out this checking account two years ago and thought the cards actually expired.  I also received a letter from the local bank back in my old state thanking me for being a valued customer, with the same last four digits on the FIA card services account.  The letter stated that the account was issued and administrated by FIA card services, N.A.  I Googled FIA card services phone # and it was 800-432-1000 and the automated attendant stated it was Bank of America.

I spoke to a woman and had to give her my SS# and mother's maiden name to verify the account.  She stated that this card was never activated and this account would be closed.  After hanging up, I had a very sick feeling in my stomach.  Did I just give my personal information to a scam company or is 1-800-432-1000 the legit company that administered this card?

This may be a legitimate BofA number, BUT it is being used in a phishing scam. The scammers call you and spoof BofA's 1-800 number so you think it is legit. However, in their voicemail to me, they wanted me to dial an 813 area code. They also slurred certain parts of the message so the only crystal clear parts words like "your account, " "with Bank of America," "sorry to miss you," "call immediately."

Don't confuse a legitimate 1-800 number with the idea that the people calling are legitimate!

I got called from this number on my cell phone.  When I answered, it immediately disconnected.  When I called that number, I actually got B of A customer service.  They told me that there was no record of a call being made by them, and after double-checking my account, found that there were no discrepencies with any of my accounts.  ? phishing attempt?

Just got a call from this number.  Usually I don't answer calls that come in as "Unavailable" on my Caller ID, but this time I did.  I did  not say anything but after a very long silence, I screamed into the phone "Speak!"  Finally, someone came on the line and said "Good afternoon, m'am, may I speak to {my husband's name}?" I could not help myself since it is nearly 7pm here so I said, "Afternoon?  Wow you are pathetic.  No, you cannot speak to him or continue to speak to me and you better not call here again." I am now entering that number into my Call Blocker.
