Received a call from this telephone number. A partial message was caught by my telephone system's auto attendant. Message mentions another TF number (877) 999-0206. No callback was attempted to either telephone number.

Really hectic and confusing day This is the real number for Bank of America but both Bank and scammers calling me at the exact same time from this number so it is best if you call Bank of America back and ask for the fraud department received 6 calls all at the same time from both scammers and bank

Your post was unclear, so to be sure, this was likely to be a phishing scam by crooks pretending to be from BOA.  Not a call to be trusted.

10/28/22  I just called BOA Cust Support at 800-933-6262 and verified 800-432-1000 is a valid BOA number. It's a number from their next level online banking support. When in doubt, call the customer support number on the back of your bank card.

    Spoofed by a Scammer!!
Be careful, 800-432-1000 is a real Bank of America phone number.  But, I just got a scammer call that was spoofing caller ID.

Caller claimed to be from BoA, verifying my name/phone for a new account that was opened.  And asking if I had opened and approved this account.  Absolutely not, I said.

He also said there were 2 pending Zelle withdrawals for $999 and $1200, asking if I approved them.  When I said no, he wanted to transfer me to Zelle Fraud.  I asked for direct phone numbers I could call.  He gave me both 914-594-0057 and 888-706-6483.

This still sounded scam'ish, so I ended the call and contacted BoA directly.  BoA confirmed no activity for the past week, no account changes, and no Zelle transactions.

Clearly this was a scam with a spoofed incoming phone number.

This person called and gave the wrong name and said two transactions occurred. I understand that it has the BOA number on the website, but NEVER give your information. The bank will not just call you randomly and specifically use the wrong name. If you ever get a call from the bank stating that they are calling to check on X, Y,Z.  Hang up and call the bank yourself to see if it is in fact them. There are way too many scams out there.
