Its an Offician HP Support phone number.

This is the toll free number for Hewlett Packard Tech Support.  These guys helped me with a software problem and told me at the time they would call back at a specific time to confirm that the solution offered actually worked. I was not available when they called back, so they followed up with another call the following day.  I am very impressed with the tech support group at HP.  It's hard enough to get tech support for many products I've purchased, but these guys are good and care enough to check back to see if you are satisfied.  If you got a call from this 800 number it is because you asked for their help.  I'm adding this information not as a complaint, but as a compliment to HP Tech Support

This 1-800 number has called me 4 times I do not understand why the caller is relentlessly has called. I picked up the first time and someone wanted to speak with Mr. Johnson. Who is this?

My home phone is 8456774296l I have a HP Photosmart Premium series - c309 G ogy #myo2M58. I INSTALLED  a new large black cartridge XL recently, and now have installed new 3 cololr cartridges. That leaves me with a skinny black cartridge. When I try to print now, I keep gettiing a red X, and no copy.

I received a text from this number.
It is the actual number of HP Technical Support.
They were offering to sell me a caller ID service.
HP does not actually offer such a service.
I also received similar offers from other phone numbers.

This is obviously a spam text, using the HP Technical
Support phone number, as a FALSE CALLER ID, which is
also illegal.  Of course, scammers don't worry about these things.

I got a call from 1-800-474 6836, I could not understand the caller, I was expecting a call from Hulet Packard  tech  support but not sure it  was them

AAA+ service in my book. How many companies actually follow up to make sure that everything is going well.

I got a phone call from a tech support and I was busy at the time. He gave me the support number and a case number. When I called the next day they told me that before they fix the computer I have to purchase a warranty! The computer is 13 month old and I have been trying to call before the warranty expired but they wanted to sell me an extended warranty!
Of course I refused and I would rather buy another brand if the computer is totally inoperable.

HP blah blah blah. Here is the thing, I don't have an HP anything. And I've told them to stop calling me, which they have not complied with. And I am not buying a warranty because this is obviously a scam. I have never owned anything HP.

I'm not sure who this was . . .  It could have been a HP Tech Support person as I did deal with them recently online. A voice message was left but I absolutely could not understand one word that was said -- VERY heavy accent.

called to tell me my computer was calling them saying i had a virus..when i called HP they said they dont make calls like that

I was called several times by this number saying I had a problem with Trojan.  He used an American name like Kevin or something and I couldn't understand him because he had a very thick accent.  He told me to purchase an iTunes card with $299.99 on it and he would fix my problem.  I called that same number and got another nice young lady speaking with a foreign accent.  I gave her a case number and she said it was a scam. She did help me fix my slow computer by helping me to remove my current antivirus software and install McAfee.  My computer is running much better now.

This is NOT HP Tech Support.  It's a fraud.  I reported the number to HP after the Tech Support Manager who called from the toll free number asked me to purchase 2 $100 iTune cards so that he could use the serial numbers to fix my PC.  There are legitimate HP numbers on Google but 800-474-6836 is not one of them.
