"TO OPEN: FOLD AND TEAR ALONG DOTTED LINE"

    - No perforation, so it just shredded.

    "FINAL NOTICE"

    - Well, I hope so!

    "ATTENTION RECPIENT:

    - Repeat after me: Use "I" after "C" when followed by "P".

"Deliver directly to addressee obstruction of U.S.Mail is punisment of by fines up to $5,000 or 5 years in prison or both."

    - Please don't "punis" me!

    - The "of by fines" might be worth risking in order to obstruct this junk.

"TWO ROUND TRIP TICKETS TO ANY MAJOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ANYWHERE IN THE CONTINENTAL USA"

    - Originating from where?

"$30 Dinner Card for Two to be used at any Red Lobster, Olive Garden, or Bahama Breeze."

    - To be used in what way?  As a napkin?

"*Our records indicate that if you respond within 72 hours you will also recieve a $300.00 Walmart Rebate Gift Voucher and a $50.00 American Express Gift Card."

    - Within 72 hours from when?
    - What if your records are wrong?  I am sure you will correct them immediately.

    - And the footnote says:
"*This promotion is not sponsored by or affiliated with Marriott, but they are a major supplier."

    - How did Marriott get into the picture?  I thought we were discussing Walmart and American Express.

    - What other "major suppliers" can you name that are not "affiliated?"

    "Monday-Friday 10:00am-10:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-2:00pm"

    - What time zone?  What country?

    "Walmart Redemption Certificate

    - You betcha!

Received the same results for 2 round trip airline tickets, 3 day/2 night getaway at Marriott properties, $30.00 Dinner Card for 2 at Red Lobster, Olive Garden or Baham Breeze, $300.00 Grocery Rebate, and a $50.00 American Express Gift Card. I must be one of the luckiest birthday girls in the country.

Funny thing! There was absolutely no indication of the company who sent it out, only a 'PRSTD STANDARD, U.S. Postage Paid, West Palm Beach FL, Permit 3950 and a phone number 800-507-5010 to call within 72 hours. As above, if it sounds too good to be true, it must be too good to be true.

Mail arrived as "FINAL NOTICE" coincidently right around my birthday. Promotional department shows that I have been awarded two round trip airline tickets to any major international airport anywhere in the continental USA, including a three day/two night getaway that can be used at hundreds of Marriott properties in the Continental USA.  As an added gift, I will receive a $30.00 Dinner Card for two at Red Lobster, Olive Garden or Bahama Breeze. Also...respond within 72 hours and receive a $300.00 Wal Mart Rebate Gift Voucher and, a $50.00 American Express Gift Card. Simply call 1-800-507-5010. We all know this is a scam, but isn't it illegal to state you've won a prize and not explain somewhere in the mailing what the terms are? I think that's what got Publisher's Clearing House in trouble.

According to complaints received by BBB, Sea Land Travel books trips for Bon Voyage Travel Club. Consumers report they are enticed to attend sales presentations for Sea Land Travel and Bon Voyage Travel Club with promises of "free" gifts that turn out to cost hundreds of dollars in processing fees and taxes and involve substantial and cumbersome paperwork.

Consumers say at the sales presentations they are told Bon Voyage Travel Club will make available to them thousands of exclusive condominiums, cruises and hotels around the world at steeply discounted rates. Consumers who purchase memberships complain they pay thousands of dollars for access to a website that does not feature the same quality and/or quantity of accomodations as those promised during the sales presentations. Consumers also complain that the hotels, cruises and condomimiums that are featured on the website are the same prices as those available to the general public and in some cases are even higher priced.

Consumers also allege Sea Land Travel/Bon Voyage Travel Club deliberately witholds access to their website until after the 3-day rescission period has passed. Some consumers who have cancelled their contracts within the 3-day rescission period complain the company withholds a 15% re-stocking fee.

Based on information received in consumer compaints, BBB believes Sea Land Travel and Bon Voyage Travel Club are linked to Castaways Vacation Club. A separate report for Castaways Vacation Club can be found at http://reports.hurdmanivr.com/print/0825/6302 ... d=0&gen=0&lid=1

I received this card too but it was way after my birthday.  It came in a pretty balloon covered envelope with a $50.00 American Express gift card voucher inside.  The funny thing is it was addressed to my first name which tells me it wasn't something I entered nor is it someone I'm associated with because no one calls me by my first name.

This notice has RED FLAGS all over it: doesn't identify the sender, card seems like a something a child made, it says to respond within 72 hours to get the gift card but the voucher expires at the end of September and well I'm sure you get the picture.

I checked the internet and found this site aobut it, didn't bother to call the number.  Shredder food!

They're using a new angle and name.  Rec'd a letter from "Schiller & Paige, Strategic Marketing Solutions", located at 2020 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, DC.  Searching the address, I got a hold of a legitimate tenant at that address and was informed it was a UPS Drop Box.  The letter contained the same info as what I've been reading here.  Free airline tickets, vouchers for a stay at any Marriott properties, gift card for Red Lobster, etc.  The 800-507-5010 number was listed to call.  I did not call; hope you won't either

I got the same basic letter/flyer - 2 round trip airline tickets; a three/two night getaway; a dinner card; and a supposed-american express gift card.  The outside of the letter/flyer contained the images of the American flag and the U.S. Capitol building.

I called the 1-800-507-5010 number, but got tired of the answering service loop and hung-up.  I googled the telephone number and found this site.

    Thanks

Received by mail - final notice - two round trip airline tickets to any major international airport.  $30.00 dinner card for two to Red Lobster, Olive Garden or Bahama Breeze. Also, $300 Walmart Certificate if I respond in 72 hours.  I looked the number up on google and seen it was a scam.  I tore it up and through it away.

They are at it again. I received a card two days after my birthday with a similar offer. It included no mention of the sponsor or airline, but implied that we could stay at at one of "hundreds of Marriott properties"and would receive a $30 dinner card. If I called within 72 hours I would receive a $300 Walmart Redemption Certificate.

Got the birthday scam letter.  I wonder if they have my actual birthday, or are randomly sending letters hoping that the small percent that are close reply.

Offered plane tickets, $300 for Walmart, $30 from Red Lobster and $300 for AMEX.
