- carolusannusI got it in the mail. To good to be true. Did anyone consider contacting the legal departments of Marriot, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Bahamas Breeze, American Express, and Walmart. They all should be interested in stopping to be looking as if they are part of this scam. The post office might also be interested in this mail fraud.
- tedI got the same mailing. Note that the back of the Walmart $300.00 Redemption Certificate states that the redemption certificate is a rebate offer. With questionable companies, you never get the rebate.

Post Permit #3950 from West palm FL - #MTCSE47960 Is the promotional code - you get more and more if you call their number - from the looks of it above - YOU GET TAKEN for a RIDE! Don't call, don't send anyone money - I wonder if you can report this to the mail authorities?? - ShamThey mistook my name for theirs. I received the same mail notification for this bogus winnings, my birthday is this month. I am curious as to how they know my name and birthday....who are these people. This really angers me!
- PeterGot my card today. Everything's the exact same mentioned except the only contact info I have is the 800 number. Nothing I have says Millennium Travel. The back of the attached slip only says all the companies it is not sponsored or affiliated by but are major suppliers.
- CindyReceived today but not for any special occasion. Two round trip airline tickets to any major international airport ANYWHERE in continental USA, includes 3 day/2 night getaway at a Marriott property AND $30.00 dinner card for two at RED LOBSTER, OLIVE GARDEN, OR BAHAMA BREEZE. Also has a $300. Walmart redemption certificate AND $50.00 American Express Gift Card. If it sounds too good to be true........thanks to everyone for posting. How do we get rid of these crooks?
- moriyamamy wife was just given a similar birthday greeting and opportunity. same as all the rest, with usps permit number 3950 out of west palm beach.
- SuecrpNow they are doing this for Christmas. Same phone #, includes a $75 WalMart card, $50 Amex card, Free Entertainment Coupon book. My advice is to not only report it to the BBB, but the attny general as well. That's what I am going to do
- SandyReceived this in the mail today. Only difference is it says Happy Holidays instead of Happy Birthday.
- JAReceived obviously bogus mailing stating "Happy Holidays" from Mark Licensing, Inc. and Mark Cards, Inc. postmarked West Palm Beach, FL with this number to call. Google shows nothing for either "mark" company. I think "mark" means "sucker" in the real world.
- Caller: Mark Licensing, Inc.

- BarryBTW, it is trivial to get people's birthdate. There are databases that SELL this information. It's also pretty easy to get Social Security Numbers too!
So if someone calls you and tries to use either piece of information as "proof" of your "signature" to a "contract", don't get upset. They've just bought the information on line and are trying to convince you that you MUST HAVE TALKED TO THEM IN THE PAST and CONSENTED TO THEIR OFFER (for which they now want PAID). You haven't done this and they know it. They're just trying to scam you and get you to send a payment their way.
That's not what's going on here, but I thought I'd pass it along to those alarmed that this company may know birthdates. - Larry| 1 replyBefore you send ANY money, I would suggest that you check to who is offering
this promotion if you decide to take them up on their offer.
I found information on a "Millennium Travel & Promotions Inc". I have no idea if they are the same people sending this letter or not. The letter I received had absolutely NO return address on other indication as to who it was from.
But here's what the Central BBB had to say about "Millennium Travel & Promotions Inc":

BBB Accreditation revoked on 8/31/2009
Government Actions:
May 2008: Office of the Attorney General, Superior Court Judicial District of Hartford regarding Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act vs. Millennium Travel and Promotions in the business of offering vacation certificates to consumers and businesses. Defendant (in part) is a company which offered to provide "free" airline certificates and other free incentives for attending sales presentations without fully disclosing all material terms and conditions for redeeming the "free" travel or "free" incentives. Defendant representations and practices, as alleged herein, have been and are false and likely to mislead consumers interpreting the representations reasonably and, therefore, constitute deceptive acts and practices. - HA year later, they are still trying th same scam. No company name on the mailer at all. This scam is geared toward the most desperate of people. The mailer doesn't even look legit.
- daveI received this "birthday" gift on Dec28.2009 not even close to my birthday!
Two round trip to any major international airport anywhere in U. S. and a three day/two night getaway at marriott and a $75 gift certificate to walmart! Also a savings buck book and a $50 am ex gift card! Wow! now I can Retire AND have that operation!!! Ps. this is in N.C. - YodaI got one of these today December 31, 2009. The funny thing is that I work for a major airline and we don't have to pay anything to fly. Anyone who believes that someone will purchase their airline tickets for them is a good candidate for mountain view property in Florida. SCAM SCAM SDCAM. Who knows what they will do with your credit card info once you give it to them.
- IvTI got similar mail, if not the same, a few days before my birthday. I know it has to be a scam. I am glad I saw all your comments above.

UGH... no other identifying information anywhere... so I googled the tele and wound up here...
:( - chris attorneydid not call, knew it was too good to be true. searched the phone number and ended up here. My extra gift - a $75.00 Walmart Gift Card on top of the Savings Bucks Book, airline tix and hotel.
Received this "Happy Birthday" letter almost one month after my birthday.
caveat emptor. Even though they violate federal laws you are never gonna get reimbursed so send nothing - Linda in NJMine arrived yesterday, though birthday was last month. Same as others have described. I have to wonder why, if this entity has been convicted, the Post Office allows them a postal permit. I guess we all know that the various agencies don't talk to each other much, sadly.
