- DGot a call at work about this. They had been calling from a different number 513-754-9822 three times a day for over 30 days. Called them. Got a person who did not speak english very well. Asked me 3 times for my home number even though they had been stalking me on my cell. Then asked me several times for my name, which, if this is legit, they should have. They asked me if I had a Macy's card. Do not. Asked if I had a Bloomingdales card. I do. However, I have not been late on my payments. Hung up on them and now I have a Ms. Thayer calling me at work. Screw Macy's and Bloomingdales.
- Caller: Macy's/Bloomingdales
- CP| 1 replyI received a call from 727-556-7300 and when I didn't believe that it was Macy's, like they told me I asked to have a phone number I can call them back to verify... they gave me this 900 number 800-545-1256.

- Cadillac BobGot a call saying they had an important Business call for my wife. I said I was her husband and he can discuss it with me. He asked if I would settle it. I said I would. I ask how much and he was evasive. When I insisted he said she owed Macy's $143 and could I pay it now. It was 30 day old. I wanted him to email me a copy of the bill and I would give him my credit card. He said no and that he couldn't accept credit cards. I asked how he wanted me to pay and he said for me to give him my bank information. Thanks when I knew it was fake and hung up on him. Yes A guy with a strong accent
- CPHThis is a SCAM because I do not have MACY's card even my husband. This person keeps on leaving messages over the phone EVERYDAY. I don't even have any of the store's cards....I only have 1 credit card which is Bank of America.
- N. S.This number called me, 18005451256, and a guy with a heavy accent said his name was Jack Sparrow and hung up on me.
- N. S.Also, the real Macy's number is 1-888-431-6229, not this one.
- Richard HurcombI got a call from a lady asking me to ask my daughter to call her at 1800-545-1256. When I asked who she was, she told me she was Ester Louis from H.C.L. Tech. (My daughter is married and has not lived with us for years). This happened on Oct. 30, 2009.
- Richard HurcombOkay, My daughter just called that number and found it to be Macy's. I don't know where H.C.L.Tech. came from but it was a confusing call.
- Pompano BchThe caller identified himself as John Gerald...sounded like the call was from overseas....I asked the name of the company 2x's.....he said HCL Technologies. He was calling for one of our employees. I told him it was a production environment and we had a "no call policy". We'll see if he calls back.
- Caller: HCL Technologies
- Pompano BeachI think mine was the last posting......they are calling on an employee of ours. I keep explaining we have a "no call policy".......now i'm actually keeping track . I ask them to please mark in their records that there is NO calls to the employer. So far they have called 12/9, 12/11 and now 12/16. The guy have the heaviest accent (could hardly understand him).
Does anyone have an address for this company? I can't find one.- Caller: HCL Technologies
- batavia, ila heavily accented man named "Andrew" called my boss about an "important business matter". When I tried to ask for more details, he hung up on me.
- anonCalled my work number - used wrong last name. Googled to see what was up with the phone number and know I'm sure it's a scam. Thanks for this website to let people know the truth.
- Paul| 2 repliesApparently Im an idoit. But by my idiocracy I have discovered that this number is in fact a legit number. I received a phone call from a Mrs. Cho about my wife's missed payment and she asked for bank info. I did not think in my typical "gonna kill my wife for this" attitude and offered my debit card info. After giving her this info I realized it could have been a scam. I spent all day trying to find the number in Macy's directory to no avail. Finally I got Macy's department on the phone and because my cell died I didnt have the number they called me about so asked them about another number which in fact was one of their's. I hung the land line for those wondering and charged my cell in my car cause i was at work at this time. I found the number i asked about was not the number that had called me. So I tried to call Macy's again and asked about that number and he told me it was not their's. In panic I called the number which I had tried calling earlier but received no answer after five min of ringing, luckily this time they answered and asked they said they were in fact macy's and they answered some questions even after giving me a 1800 545 1256. I still was not bought so I continued looking. After looking around I noticed similarities. Macy apparently contacts third parties for collect. Ie citibank. I looked at my online acct and it showed citicard as the chard. Which seemed weird too cause I thought it would show Macy's but didnt. I contiued to panic. I called the number on the statement and asked about the acct and asked if they received a payment for the amount i paid and they confirmed they had. This took almost all day. But these numbers are in fact parties collecting for macy's. Not to professional but thank goodness it wasnt a scam.
- zanopia replies to John DoeThank you for that last post about the letter from Macys with an account number that did not match your account number. I was very suspicious when these people called me to and when I called them back they were asking for my account number but I refused to give it to them without verifying that they were really from Macys.
- MARYRECEIVED TODAY A CALL THAT SHOWED UP ON MY CALLER ID 314-738-7500, YET IT WAS
A LADY ASKING TO RETURN THE CLL BK BY THE NAME OF MRS. MAIELS(THE NAME IS SOMETHING LIKE THAT), I KEPT ASKING WHO WAS CALLING, BUT SHE GAVE ME THE ROUND AROUND AND KEPT SAYING HER NAME INSTEAD OF THE COMPANY SHE IS CALLING FROM. I LATER FIGURED OUT IT WAS MACYS, WHICH I DIDN NOT RETURN THE CALL BK W/THE # SHE PROVIDED OF 18005451256, BUT BY THE 1800 NUMBER IN BACK OF THE CARD. - AlexH replies to P. George| 1 replyI owe Macy's less than $200. I don't need to be harassed for such a small amount of money! You would think I owe them thousands and thousands of dollars!
When I pay it off (I send them about $40 a month), I will cancel my account, shred my credit card, and send the shreds back to them with the final check. - D Perez replies to AlexHThis is legit. They hire outside sources to google people who match people's names and birthdates and randomly call people, until they find the real person they are searching for. This service is more for people who sign up for credit cards, use them hard, and disappear without ever paying their bills. I have appeared on a few of this lists because I have a common name and I spoke with a Macy's manager who confirmed the practice. Just call the real Macy's number and get this watch list off your back. Confirm who you really are, and they will continue googling other people who the similar name. Don't ignore them or think it is a scam! It won't go away.
