I'll bet most of the messages on this board are people that work at the scam place, this sounds like a big organization... it happens when you tried to book an out of the country hotel. If you have and are getting calls from these people, it's fraud for sure. That's how they got my phone number anyways. They are a big scam company because they transfere you to other people who act like they are who they say they are... Chase doesn't even do anything about them, that's why they exist with the same number. It's unbelievable that they haven't even changed their number in three years

This is Chase card's real number... (800)945-2000, call them and ask them yourself. The number for if you have a credit card. Ask to talk to the account specialist, they will tell you that they would never ask for your personal information. They already have your personal information. Actually, if you have a chase card, the number is on the back of your card. And for those who say they work for Chase card on this conversation board, you are a liar, and a scammer, I hope you end up in jail.

Some people might not be able to because they don't make enough money & therefore end up in this situation over & over again... Living paycheck to paycheck but with an income that simply isn't enough. The regular person also don't have the luxury of getting bailed out. Your answer works in a perfect world, or in a noncorrupt country, but not in the real world, or at least not in the United States... It's just not that simple.

This number called me and pose to be from Chase Bank. It is a scam spam. Banks do not call you nonstop regarding personal money business. Banks always prompt you to come into their office to discuss personal money issues not by phone. Keep your information secure and private because people now-adays do anything to get their hands on money

Why do you keep calling me?  If it is in reference to the credit card bill or my account, I have not had time to take care of it.  Could you please quit calling me so many times throughout the day?

I tried that, she said they don't HAVE "calling lists" and then tried to get my phone number (which I gave as they already had it and they'd need it to stop CALLING that number!) and then my name, which I did NOT give as they don't need it to take a number off a list. I'm sure it's either a scam to get personal info OR it's legitimately Chase debt collections and they're looking for someone who maybe had this number years ago as I don't now nor ever have had an account with them. Very annoying though and VERY rude woman!

This is a "LEGAL" and "LEGITIMATE"number: 1-800-555-0433, that belongs to (JP Morgan) Chase Bank!  I too, received 2 calls from that number in the morning and afternoon, but they did not leave a message.  I called back by dialing *67-1-800-555-0433, so my # could not be identified, and the person said, "My name or This Kate, may I have your account# or SS#."  I immediately hung up, and thought why should I give out my personal information.  So I called the MAIN CHASE # for Customer Service: 1-800-935-9935 (this # should be on the back of your debit card).  I spoke with the telephone banker to verify the 1-800-555-0433, and she said that # is from their COLLECTIONS DEPT.  They were giving me a 'courtesy' call to advice my account is over-drawn, which I was well aware of and since it has been over-drawn for 11 days now, they wanted to know when I would get my checking account balance back to a 'positive' balance!  If I didn't return their call, further collection action would've taken place.  I gave them the date of my upcoming payday (I have direct deposit), and they were satisfied with my results!  It is always good to be skeptical about calls you receive due to all the SCAM taking place widespread.  Word to the wise: Try not to apply for an on-line Payday Loan.  These SCAMMERS somehow can gain access to your personal information.  Especially when you apply from a company and they say they will process your application to find a LENDER who can approve your loan request.  That is when the SCAMMERS can obtain your information.  I know for a fact, because it happened to me. BTW, I left the 'Call Type' as UNKNOWN, because the purpose of the call - COLLECTIONS DEPT was not listed.  Debt Collector came close, but to be precise, Collections Dept from Chase was the Call Type!

I READ MY MESSAGE AND FOUND A SPELLING TYPO!  Should read as follows:  ... They were giving me a 'courtesy' call to ADVISE (not ADVICE), my account is over-drawn.

    LOL
    Thanks!

I've received many calls from various 1800 numbers these past two weeks, several times a day. I have not answered the but their very persistent. Its become extremely annoying and inconvenient. They never leave me a voicemail so I sense that its not truly an important call to be receiving several times a day throughout the week.
