- marc| 1 replyI think this is legit from Chase. I got an email from them saying my debit card was compromised, I worked it out with a branch agent and got the bogus charges removed, and closed my acct., but this # keeps calling. (I'm guessing it takes a couple days to process everything & update their records..)

- topsDon't listen to other comments on this page saying it's a real Chase number. These are probably people working for the [***] that are calling. The number is a scam. I'm working to get it blocked through my phone carrier
- melissai got 10 time a day and no one there
- JP Morgan Chase does not know this #!| 2 repliesGot a call from 18005550433 on my cell phone. I didn't answer, and they left no voicemaul. I called back, and they identified themselves as "CHASE BANK". When they started asking for personal information, I told them that I was uncomfortable with giving out that information. They said that they would call back later, and would be able to tell me why they were calling at that time.
I hung up, and then called the CHASE # on the back of my debit card, 1-800-935-9935. The rep I spoke to verified all of my account info, and told me that everything looked OK - and that there would be no reason to call me based on what she saw. She then advised me that she cannot find that 800 number in the Chase directory, and that IT IS MOST LIKELY A FRAUDULENT ATTEMPT TO GET PERSONAL OR ACCOUNT INFO! The rep advised that, if they call back, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO AT ALL, just hang up!
That is exactly what I am going to do!- Caller: Said they were "Chase Bank"
- IrinaI'm tired of this people calling me all the time.
- Legalchic| 1 replyThe number IS a Chase Number. I used to have accts with them, and closed them all (4) in Nov 2011. For some reason, one of the accounts was not properly closed and continued to incur service fees, which of course put it into "overdrawn" status. They have yet to fix it because I've already called 2x and they say it's fixed, but here I am still getting calls. I have a statement from Chase showing this number, and the number IS legitimate. Annoying, yes. But still legitimate.
- Caller: Chase

- FYI replies to LegalchicThis is not a Chase Bank... It is a receivables company for collections....... not associated with Chase bank at all
The do medical collections and some others - FYI replies to JP Morgan Chase does not know this #!| 1 replyadd them to your block list *60 will take care of that issue BFi is onto these people but we can not feed them... they are also affiliated out of Georgia.. they buy collection list and try to collect money
IE Chase Recievables... but they are not affiliated with Chase bank at all - ShannonThis number calls several times a day and never leaves a message.
- It Is a Scam replies to FYIIf crooks have your social security number, they can apply for credit cards, loans, etc., in your name.
For confirmation that you should NOT reply to these people, check out the Chase website itself:
https://www.chase.com/ccp/index.jsp?pg_name=c ... d/page/phishing
If you don't want to visit that link and read the whole page for yourself, here are a few snippets. Chase says:
"You should never respond or reply to an e-mail. phone call, or text message that:
* Requires you to supply personal information.
*Threatens to close or suspend your account if you do not take immediate action and provide personal information."
"If you are ever unsure about the authenticity of a Chase e-mail, phone call or text message, please call the toll-free number on the back of your credit/debit card or the toll-free number printed on your bank statement."
Crooks can make money off getting social security numbers, such as getting loans or credit cards. So it makes sense that whoever is collecting social security numbers using this scam is able to pay someone to come on forums like this and make fake postings about how "no, it really is Chase Bank."
Just get out your ATM card, find the toll-free customer service number on the back and call. - Adrian RichardsI too am being bombarded by these calls from this number. I downloaded a Blacklist App on my phone so now they can't bother me.

- MarkThis number is a phishing number. I do have an account with Chase Bank. They first asked for my social security number. When I told them I wouldn't give out my information over the phone they actually messed up and instructed me to go into my local Chase. When I did my banker notified me that they never ask for any info over the phone. THIS NUMBER IS A SCAM/FRAUD/PHISH. DO NOT ANSWER AND DO NOT RETURN THEIR CALLS!
- Caller: 8005550433
- Mark replies to marcI got called earlier today at work. when i went into my chase bank they verified that it was a phishing scam and told me not to give any personal info out. the only number that would call is the number on the back of your debit/credit card.
