Actually that's where you're supposed to send payments to if you owe a Ticket in OK. That's the address I have been sending and talking to a judge and I owe nothing in the state of OK now.

I received a letter from Municipal enforcement division.  Warning for $86.88 and a case number.

This case was dismissed back in 1999 as I went to court and it was thrown out.  I asked for the gentleman listed on the letter and he was not in.  A very nice young lady explained what she thought this was for.  I hung up and called my local police department and they are taking care of it.
In this day and time, you never know who is getting your money.  They had my birth date and address, scary!!!

Maybe a legitimate collection agency, (???)  but they need to get their facts together if indeed legitimate.

The caller was very polite and informative but denied it was a collection agency.  The amount has probably been written off by the city for a charge more than 10 years old.

So you actually saying this aren't warrants but an attempt to collect money?!

    WORST PLACE!
These people are just slum lords that live off making employees miserable and pushing work work work, but never any pay pay pay. Dont pay these people, call the court you had the ticket with everytime they call and complain on how rude they are and how you dont want to pay the added collection fees. The people in the letters that you recieve are never in the office, they are always out indefinitely, or on militarty leave, this should be a hint that somethings up. So pay the court not the collector, avoid collection fees and credit card processing fees.

I had a warrant for unpaid fines in Muskogee, WHICH I KNEW ABOUT,  so I called them to find out how much they were and they told me and gave ME the number to the collection agency who I was to pay the amount to.

The same number, and they are called Warrant Enforcement Division. They are legit. Otherwise, Muskogee would not have given me the number.

I have to say a GINORMOUS DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH to some of y'all.

If you don't have warrants in these places, maybe you might wanna remember that night you were drunk or maybe consider that someone else has stolen your identity.

    Just saying.

P.S. I signed up to this site just to say that. Probably won't be back to reply. Have a great day! :)

Also, these people DID respond. Why wouldn't they answer the phone? It's their job. (again, DUHHHHH)

They were very kind and courteous. They were just taking care of business and it's not their fault that I broke the law and didn't pay.

So today I'm paid up, I've already checked my records and I have no warrants now.

No complaints at all about them and I didn't mind paying the small fee to pay online.

    Thanks again! :)

Added to the fact I have no proof a warrant was issued.  I'm pretty sure that this is legit, but what, I'm supposed to send them money and "hope" the supposed warrant will be recalled?  I have had multiple background checks because of my job and never had any problems.  Wouldn't a warrant show on one of these?  Maybe it's only if the background check is done in the state the warrant was issued in.  Who knows.  I just call the court house tomorrow.  Something just doesn't seem right.  If the collection agency is in Texas, then why not address it as such.  Instead of Mail to:  "city of Sand Springs
                                                                                                PO Box 118312
                                                                                                CARROLLTON, TX 75011"

    That's stupid.

I received a letter and contacted the city in question.  They have no record of any outstanding ticked and no record of any money owned to them.  This is a scam.  They can get their loser employees on here all day to call people names but in the end this is just a scam.  No warrants have been issued and no money is owed.  They are just trying to scam people out of their hard earned money because they are too lazy or too stupid to get a real job.

Look into the company, check the BBB report. People employed there are being abused, stop the abuse call the courts, tell them of your findings.

here's the inside scoop. this company isn't a scam but they are very deceptive and not a place you want to PAY (always call the Municipal Court for the city the citation was issued in and pay them) or WORK FOR. again, do not PAY (pay the court directly don't PAY AMS) or WORK FOR american municipal services. i'll explain further below: "case workers" will say that you have a warrant and so will the letters, but not all files come with warrants. in a lot of cases, you'll be told you have a warrant, but the city hasn't actually provided that information to AMS/Warrant Enforcement Division or issued a warrant. always call the court to verify warrant status. a lot of their clients are small towns in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi and the validity of the balance on a lot of the tickets is highly questionable. roughly, 2 out of 10 "files" have been resolved, with the court but sent out by "mistake" and "offender" will be asked to contact the court, while they continue to call or send letter, or they'll ask you to produce proof of payment, time served, community service or dismissal. the later process, could take up to 1 month for a response from the courts. ALWAYS contact the court directly and PAY the courts directly. the primary reason for not paying AMS is that they've added anywhere form 25 - 30% of the original balance on as collection fees. that's why your fine costs have gone up. the "caseworker" (aka collector) won't always tell you that fees have been added by AMS or the amount. instead, they'll tell you it's warrant fees or because it's so old and fees have been added, which is true, but AMS also adds their fees in and this is how this idiots make their money. SO ALWAYS CALL THE COURTS FOR PAYMENTS AND PAYMENT PLANS. most of their clients (municipal courts) will take payment without charging you the AMS fee. there isn't a pick-up list...they can not report you to a pick-up officer....they can not have you arrested...IF THEY SAY THIS THEN HANG UP because it's a lie. they are hired as a third party collection agency and can't do anything else but collect on the balance. you should report any "caseworker" whom says this to the municipal court directly. get the "caseworkers" first name, because they won't give you their last names and report them to the municipal court. the courts are AMS clients and you're considered the offender. if you've received a letter from Larry Brown...he doesn't exist. well, it's a alias for co-owner Laurence Bergman. anytime, you call in and ask for Larry Brown you'll be told he isn't and that the "caseworker" will be able to assist you. the reason "mr. brown" won't ever answer the phone is he is a figment of an old delusional man's imagination. again, call the municipal court of the city they are contacting you for and pay them directly to save paying the high fees, if possible. always make complaints about caseworkers whom are rude or disrespectful. courts will pull or at least suspend business with AMS because of abusive treatment form the "caseworkers." there are so many reasons not to work for the company, but should be mainly avoided because of their reputation for being deceptive with wages, growth opportunities, insurance and how much you'll make in bonuses. they treat their employees like dirt and condone a pervasive hostile work environment. they lack an real formal training and the manager doesn't know how to manage people and participates in favoritism. check with EEOC or TWC for more information about complaints reported about the employer. all of the above is an honest description of events seen and heard by me. good luck and stay away from AMS.
