I received a letter from Hinds County Carrollton,Tx. Saying I owed 237. And I have ever been to Texas for anything.
Who do I send this letter or file a complaint to. Also I received a letter only and tried to call the phone number given and it is not working

My husband just received a letter from "Warrant Enforcement Division" from City of Diboll. The mailing address is PO Box 118312, Carrollton, TX 75011.

These people left a message on a recording saying there was a warrant for my arrest. I called them up and explained to them that I have not lived in Oklahoma or been in Oklahoma since 10/30/1995. The guys name was Paul. I asked if they were police and Paul said "non", that he was hired by  to collect a debt.

Nope, they research public records and cold call anyone with matching names until they find a sucker! Then they do mit again baby!

Just FYI, I called these people back and told them I had done my research both with the City of Muskogee and my attorney and they immediately got defensive and started calling me everything under the sun, after which they hung up. Not very professional. I was informed by the city's court clerk that this is a scam and that I have no warrants issued for my arrest. I've filed charges against them, I refuse to be harassed by "Ashley" or "Larry Brown" any longer. Lowlifes.

Why would our state of Oklahoma send out a third party  (TEXAS) to collect on unpaid fines. I let them know it came in the mail. They are upset obviously .
And Larry Brown with same phone number ( letter is exact duplicate ) and he has no title.

They did not have updated info on me either and has been 15 years sence I lived in the city they said for a fine of 123. 00  which was paid a long time ago. and they all have foreighn accents with a texas address. why would ms have tx threaten with arrest warrant unles paid today and a po box at that... scam

Larry Brown is really Laurence Edgar Bergman, and can be contacted indirectly at 972-618-8297. However, the real number is 949-361-0761. He's often on vacation though.  The saucy sailor behind the scenes is Gregory Lee Pitchford. This guy hates phone calls to his home, even though his number can be found online and his company seems to make money from harassing innocent people through false legal claims. If you want to talk to Greg, the number is 972-292-2605. These guys seem to expect that all of you are stupid and don't know that they are a Third Party Debt Collection corporation according to section 392.101 of the Texas Finance Code as of 9/6/2011, (file number 20110202, and bond number 7752241345TX) and should be reported to the TX Attorney General, Greg Abbott, and the Federal Trade Commission. I already called these disrespectful and inconsiderate scammers at these personal numbers, and I plan to file complaints due to their violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, which they claim that they are above due to the profits they reap from the uneducated. What about you? Maybe we should just let America fall to such illegal and unethical attempts at fraudulent debt collections, and let American Municipal Services be above the law and not be held accountable for negligence and maliciously providing false information to reap in the profits that allow them to continue their abuse of Federal Trade Commission regulations. I just want to get the word out. You deserve to know how this game works. Its up to you if you want to stand up for our rights and demand accountability through the TX District Attorney and Federal Trade Commission, or even give these guys a call at the numbers provided to see for yourself how they behave.
