Are you one of the scammers? That is exactly what I would expect them to say.

I got a call from them, (no message left) and I do not now, nor have I ever had an account with Citizens. I have to go with the people here that say this is a scam.

Got the call this morning, it was a survey about the bank's customer service. I loved the fact that it was done by a REAL person. Where did all the jobs go?    computers.

Got a call on my cell phone from this number yesterday (Jun 2, 2011) and today.  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know since using my cell phone costs me money and I think it's rude for telemarketing companies to expect us to be inconvenienced and pay for it too.  They left no message so I don't know who they are.

    Air Horn replies to Anonym
Answer the call.  wait about 15 seconds, then cough or make a noise (this activiates the program).  Someone normally comes on and says hello to see if someone's on the line.  I never say hello, because then they'll ask for a name, and I don't give them that chance.  Get one of those cans that is a compressed air horn.  As soon as they say hello, blast the air horn right at the phone.  You may still get a few calls, but not many if you do it all the time.

As of June 2011 it is Citizens Bank calling to do a quick phone survey. They asked for no personal information.

I also got a call from this number last night about 7:45 EST. I ignored the call fearing it was a debt collector. I then came to this board and saw it was Citizens Bank. I bank with Citzens Bank too. That is an odd time of day for my bank to be calling me even regardless of the nature of the call.

Asked for me or my wife by name.  Said they wanted to ask survey questions about our banking experience with CharterOne (which is now owned by Citizens Bank).  We do have an account and after negatively answering a survey some months ago I was contacted by the local Branch Manager.

If it's indeed Citizens bank, they should be identified as such on caller ID. The name I got was the generic "800 Service".  Never give out any important info. Many scammers are out to scare you into giving up info.  If it's as important as they say, they can leave messages which they never do.  Many banks and other financial institutions won't ask for any important info over the phone.  If it's really important they can mail this info or perhaps before answering any questions ask them to mail you the info they supposedly need.  Some scammers just call to see if there's a "live" person that answers and they might be selling your # to other scumbag scammers.  I never pickup a # I don't recognize and they almost never leave messages.
