It is Citizen's bank conducting a survey for customer service.

Actually I don't have a citizens account, never had, and have had my number for a very long time - I'd be suspicious that this may actually be a scam.  It could be that scammers have co-opted the Citizens Bank number so it shows up on caller ID when they are not actually calling from that number.  I have had two calls from scammers who used that tactic.

Constant calls from 18006717916 - annoyance calls -

Keep getting calls from this number.....they never leave a message.  They also don't answer when you pick up the phone.

I am NOT (and never have been) a Citizen's Bank customer, but I DID receive TWO calls today from 8006717916.  They left no messages.  I did not return the calls.

For those of you (like me) that want these calls to stop and if they are calling your cell phone, you can log into your carrier's website and log into your account.

Once you are logged into your account, you should be able to click on your device, go to "Block Voice" or Block Number" (depening on your carrier) and add the number to your blocked numbers list.

That should stop these calls from that number.  I just did this so we shall see if it works... I hope so!

I receive a call just about daily from this number. I do not answer because it is an 800 number. No message is ever left.

UPDATE - After doing what I mentioned above, have not received a call from this number since.  IT WORKS!!  Try it.

i just received a new debit card and it is a visa not a mastercard..

Call from this number just now.  No message left.  I do have citizens account.

This number called me about a survey for the Citizen's bank. Not a scam at all and didn't ask me for any personal information. They knew who I was, what type of account I had, and my recent activity with the local bank branches.

I received a call late evening from this #.  She asked to speak to me and said she was from Citizen Bank.
I just hung up the phone.  Citizens bank should try to get to the bottom  of these calls or customers are going to start closing out their accounts and banking elsewhere!  It's ridiculous.

Good advise.  I don't answer phone calls that I don't recognize either.  I got this phone call late at night.  I went over to Citizens bank the next morning and complained.  They don''t know how to solve it.  Real pain.

This number has called me twice in the last 3 hours.  I missed it both times and it hasn't left a message yet.

Got a call the other day and no meeage was left. Complained to Citizen Bank and they had no idea. Very odd.

It doesn't matter if you think it's legitimate or not, NEVER ever give out any information over the phone!! Can you guarantee that this is a legitimate call?? If a bank calls asking for information over the phone, I would close my account with them and go to another bank, but I seriously doubt that a bank would do this. There are scams of all kinds out there, phone, mail, email, etc. I have no Citizens account and my number is non-published, so why would they call me?? I seriously hope that none of you have fallen for this! I hope you don't wake up one day and find your savings gone, or that your identity has been stolen and you were wiped out. Naivety can get you in a lot of trouble! Good luck!

Same as above postings - just called as per few times per week for years, finally added to spam on my cell.

I called the number and it's the RBS Citizens customer survey service line.  They wanted me to rate my service during my recent call to the service center for help.
