- Philly Resident11/18/09 Rec'd a call from 1-800-745-0961. Called at exactly 9:00am - no message. Just a hang up call.
- IrritatedI'm pretty sure this number is the Verizon Financial people. But, just just this past friday I made a payment and my account is up to date. Before that, it wasnt, sadly, but they didnt call me at all during the time I was late. Now that I'm up to date, they keep calling me like at least 3 or 4 times a day since monday the 16th!! What gives??
- Canton Resident| 1 replyI got 4 calls, on my cell, from this number today. If it is Verizon then why does it come up no name? I got text message from Verizon later in the day which chose the callback option to a different 800 number. By that point I had already logged into my account and noticed i didn't make last month's payment so I brought my account up to date, so when I did the callback i was up to date already. I still got another call from 800-754-0961, if it is Verizon then they aren't checking their own system before calling.
- DERWIN BRYANTCONSTANT CALLS BACK TO BACK. THIS HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BY VERIZON WIRELESS.
- lmfour calls today. i do have verizon, account is not current, but i'm paying it off as fast as i can and four calls in one day is really a bit much. no messages, no texts, no voicemails.
verizon will be getting a call from me tomorrow. - planesThere is nothing at all wrong with being 30 days past due. If you pay before your account is shut off that is not fair game and should not be the object of repeated and excessive phone calls.
Verizon needs the money for something and decided to take greed over customer care. I used to get a friendly call one day before shutoff and I simply paid from that reminder.
Now it starts 2 weeks before shut-off and continues non-stop 4 to 8 times a day 6 days a week. That is excessive and abusive.
I recently started recording the phone calls. The first one I told the lady the call was being recorded. She said fine. I then asked for her identification and then why was Verizon calling me excessively. She said it was to save me the 15$ reconnect fee. So I repeated it back. SO your calling me 6 to 8 times a day 6 days a week to save me a 15$ fee?.........disconnected! They must have been ease dropping an then cut the call out.
I would post it up but the recording got messed-up and I didn't get her approval to record on tape recorded, so I cant use it. The next, if they call again, I will post up for everyone to hear.- Caller: verizon
- TrishI just had 14 calls from this number between 12:40pm and 5:46pm. That's a little excessive. No messages, no nothing. Like really???
- jdogTotally a scam. Called me today and claimed I owed a balance and that I needed to pay or our service would be terminated. I asked for a call back number and said that I was suspicious of these kinds of calls because my father-in-law had been the target of a phishing scam not more than a couple months back. I then asked for the number again, and she hesitated, said again that I was in danger service interruption, then finally gave it to me. 800-754-0961. Verizon knows how to reach me and they do it easily via mail or email or text when they need to. These people are crooks, and I can only guess that those who post claiming otherwise here are simply working for these scammers. If you have any doubts that you owe Verizon money, simply call them. Don't trust anyone who calls you to necessarily be who they claim to be.
- Dru| 1 replyIts not Verizon, I just called them and thats not there number.
Check yourself, call ur local provider in town and ask them to look at ur account and mention the number.
They will block it for you. - DruAlso, call Verizon Wireless told me to call *611 and ask for the fraud department.
- DennOSVerizon Wireless Employees. You got to wonder how they sleep at night being the scumbags that they are. If you work at Verizon and have read this why don't you just crawl back to the cube you work in and go back to doing MORE of NOTHING.
- Ashley replies to Ned949 is a Costa Mesa, California area code, only a Verizon wireless STORE would have that area code, and the Verizon Wireless Finacial headquarters are NOT here... I live here... So no....
- AshleyIt's impossible for the phone companies to block a number from calling you. Just save the number in your contacts and set your phone so it won't ring if they call... Eventually they sill stop
- volcom replies to Druall you need to do is go to your verizon account online and you cn block up to 5 numbers. i also get these calls like 50 times a day and they call all hours a day. all you need to do is tell them yourgoing t call the police and press harassment charges cause ANY bill collector by new law is not allowed to call a number more than 1 TIME a day. but these people constantly harass!! ive bloicked 2 numbers already by them. it takes them bout a week to realize you blocked so they will eventually change numbers n continue to call.. its realllly annoying! and very aggrivating.
- Scam Report replies to KatJust another scam to steal your personal information and money. They said that I owed Verizon money, so I called up Verizon and the officials there said I owed nothing. I even know people that aren't associated with Verizon at all that got calls from this number.
A COMPLETE SCAM! - sicklyWhy you are calling my phone you better stop it
- Kim Boyd-GyselKeep receiving calls on mycell from this number. No messages left.
- nappolisgirlIt is Verizon. It is called out sourcing. If you are concerned, go to the verizon wireless website and call the number from there. Most of the calls are computer generated and whomever answers pops in the operator's ear somewhere in the world. And for those that don't have Verizon, as others have stated, someone gave your number to someone, probably randomly thought up digits. Don't be so paranoid.
