I get a call from this number every few months saying I need to pay my so called bill, but I don't understand why they are calling me when I'm not the holder of the account.  It should be calling my step mom who is the owner of the business account I'm on.  It's very strange and we contact Verizon everytime to tell them to change it so they call the owner, but of course Verizon doesn't pay any attention to their customers and won't change it.

You're right.  IT IS VERIZON,   It's not a scam, it is VZ.  If you're a few days late they call.  I spoke to several friends who have gotten this call.  I got it this morning and I'm 1 day late.  I'm LOL'ing, someone like me who always pays on time gets plugged into their data base on Day 1 of being late for the very first time.

It IS Verizon people.  Stop being so paranoid although it's always good to check first.  Now go pay your bill or they will shut you down and charge to be turned back on.  /wink

Write them an email or snail mail,  tell them you're contacting the FCC and wanna bet they do what they're told to do?  I've had the FCC on their butts already for doing the same thing, contactin all 5 phones on my account.  It doesn't happen anymore.  The FCC took care of it.  VZ  does not like to have the FCC on their tail.

I keep receiving calls from this number trying to solicit personal info of me, when asking questions of him about his inquiries of my info the call was terminate on his end, seemed very fishy to me that i was hung up on!!

come on folks... this number is verizon wireless (they have more than 1 number) - it is not suspicous or a scam - you are the very people who think everything is a scam - pay your bills and they won't bother you!!!!

If this number is truly linked to Verizon Wireless they need to put an identifier on the number.  I block all unidentified numbers, then try to determine who is calling. If it's legit, I may call them back, if not they get nothing.
I usually am upto date on my service payments, so if they feel they need to call and harass you constantly I will probably switch to another service on my next renewal date and kiss Verizon goodby.

This is a legitimate Verizon number.  I called Verizon billing at 800 922-0204 and the customer service person asked for the manager of the plan at our company to call back on 866 266-1445 or 800 754-0961 to discuss a change in plan because of increased usage.

It is not Verizon Financial Services. Verizon does not call to collect for services, which is why a major credit card is required to apply for an account with them. All unsatisfied accounts are sent to debt collection agencies. Your service is terminated. There is no part of the company that will call and ask for your information. If you do receive a call from this number, do not give away your information, as it is a scam.

It's Verizon Wireless, I've used this number many times. If it's a scam why would they know how much you owe on your bill?

I, too, just received a call from this 800 #.  I make it a rule to Google a number I don't recognize.  In fact I NEVER answer a number I don't know.  I can just call the number back from the caller ID if it's safe.

My acct with verizon is current, and has always been current, it takes out of my bank acct automatically every month. So why the call? Phuked
