They've called us multiple times, but we only get silence when we pick up.  We don't have Verizon service at all, so I would agree with everyone who says this is a scam.

The people that don't even have Verizon service have a right to be paranoid.  They asked me for my SSN after I said I don't have an account with them.

This number (8007540961) called six times today. I picked up the last time to someone requesting information from me (ssn, phone #, name, address) without any informing as to why. I refused to give out my information. I do have Verizon, but do not owe them anything and have never been late on a payment. I recommend blocking this number.

I forgot to pay a bill recently and got several calls from them.  What's funny is, the caller ID comes up as "Annoying-200" on my phone.  Absolutely hilarious...

this is not verizon! i called back and a recording tells me its vzw financial dept. it is not! it tells me "there is no password on this account plz enter the last 4 digits of the account holder's s.s..." there is a password on my account and vzw never asks for the primary account holders s.s. they say "plz enter ur s.s." only primary account holders can enter their own s.s. after hearing this i hung up.

This is a verizon wireless number i have called to pay my bill and it works every time, they call when you miss a payment.  NOT A SCAM.

I love how everyone is always thinking everything is a scam... It is Verizon's financial services number. I just checked it out as they called my pre teen daughter's cell phone, that is on my aunt's account. I just set the number not to ring at all on her phone as she has no control or responsibility over paying the bill. If you choose to not deal with them by this means then do what you must, but it is not a scam or anyone phishing your info.

It is Verizon Wireless.  What gets me is that my bill isn't due for another week, yet they called me 7 times already today and didn't leave one voicemail.  I think 1 or 2 calls is sufficient but 7 is just insane.

THEY HAD CALLED MY PHONE NO VM OR ANYTHING WEIRD 2 DAYS IN A ROW AND I DONT GIVE MY CELL # OUT AT ALL

I've received many calls from this number in the past week, all at different times, once at 2am! They say its the financial department for Verizon. I don't owe them money, in fact I made a double payment last month. They ask for the last 4 of ur social, as well as asking for my pin. I asked her name, Tammy, and Hung up. Called Verizon and got the financial department. They have no idea why I'm getting these calls. Grr!

This is a valid phone number for Verizon Wireless Financial services.......When you call the number it clearly states " Welcome to Verizon Wireless". You are able to validate your information through the system.

It's Verizon. I sell for Verizon, if there is no password on the account, the last 4 of the social is required to access the account. It's not a scam...everyone is so damn paranoid on this board...

to all involved...800-754-0961   IS   verizon financial. its not a scam or phishing or anythine else all you paronoid people dream up.you need to pay ur bill or the call is a mistake . is it annoying... f@$#k yeah ! if you dont owe them money...tell them - easier to settle it now, than try to get your phone turned back on when THEY shut it off...cause you were to paranoid to talk to them. sure theyre gonna ask you ur # and or last 4 digits of social...it identifies you as the account holder.( nothing suspicious about that)!N6N7 for the overpriced and sh#%!ty service that i contend with having verizon... you find out how relentless these scu#$@%bag verizon collectors are when you get past your due date without paying on time !!!! can't wait till my contract is up so i show them my appreciation for them telling them byebye like plenty of other people are doing.

Lately I keep getting calls from this number.  They claim they are from Verizon Wireless and want my password.  In the past I have always had a text from Verizon wireless so I am sure this is a scam to get my info.

It's verizon guys, really.  They call me every couple months to get my permission to bill my cc on file.

It *is* Verizon. Every time I've forgotten to pay, this number calls my cell. I don't answer; instead I log into verizonwireless.com, note that I do indeed need to make a payment, and simply pay my bill.
