I recieved a call from this number. I heard the lady say it was collections, then asked for my address and date of birth. She said she couldn't tell me the company until they had all my info. Told her she needed to tell me the company first. Then she said if I would listen instead of talking I would've heard her the first time. I told her when she developed customer service skills to call me back and hung up.

They call and say they are from a collection agency and want to verify my name and address and SSI and when I refused and questioned who they were they say I owe a bill and I can call them back at the number they just called me on. I told them OK and hung up. NEVER give out this information over the phone believe me a true collection agency has all this information before they call you.

Same lady and number called back 2 weeks latter asking for me by name and I reminded her it didn't work last time it is not going to work now and she hung up.  

This is a very rude Black lady that calls she really wants that information. I forgot to put this in my first message.

Yep sounds like the lady that is calling me to.

Verizon says is is a phishing scam.

I have received two calls from these people, both times caller ID came up as "Debt Collection Scam". They always leave a message with this 800 phone number and it is not Verizon as I have contacted Verizon directly and they do not have this 800 number. The caller ID is interesting in that these people don't even have the intelligence to make up a believable caller ID.

This number keeps calling me and knows my name.

I keep getting a call from(210)202-3315 and texts as well that say to call back 800-754-0961 or click the link in the text to pay my past due verizon bill.  This is on my work cell phone.  That account is paid automatically each month, I even had our accounts dept check. The calls and texts are a scam.

WHO IS THIS CALLEY ME AND WHY ?

Got a call today from 480-281-1850 it said VERIZON on the caller ID. I let it leave a message as I didn't trust it. There was a recorded message saying to call the Verizon Fiance dept with reference # 52*-25*-*** , it gave the number to one of the numbers on our business acct. that we just got the bill for Monday.

just called back, It IS Verizon financial services, oops, forgot to pay my bill :P

Why would Verizon Wireless call me about my bill if I pay it every month?

But you went over. It's your responsibility to pay for services rendered. Common sense really. You're aggravated at yourself.

The calls have been frequent, I never answered. Now I got a message to call Verizon financial services at 1-800- 754-0961. Suspicious I decided to check my bills. Which are all in good standing. I realised that the number ( 1-800- 754-0961) I was requested to call was a fake one.

i called this number and it is verizon, bc b 4 you can even get to someone you have to enter your pin number which noone knows but you!!

It is a scam I contacted verizon. The actual verizon number and was told that it was

Scam, just block the number if you can.  Contact Verizon with the number on your last bill from them if you get a paper copy.  Or, long on with your account info that you have.  Do not give anyone any personal information or payment information if you have any questions about the validity of the phone number or person you are speaking with.  ID fraud is rampant and it can cost you dearly in time and money to get fraud cleared up.  Is it worth it not to take the time to do your due diligence with your identity, time and money at stake?

I received the same thing, didn't call back and my phone shows caller #15415053999, but left this same Toll Free on the voice mail.  It does stop when the account is brought current.

Never, ever call a number left in a message when they claim there is a problem with your account.  Always Google the customer support number and use the number Google returns.

Scammers hope your too stupid to do this as they'd love to have your credit card number and any additional information you'll supply.

Verizon confmed the caller is a known scammer.  Don't be stupid and lazy, always verify the number with Google.  A fool and their money are soon parted.

I received a call from 408-337-3769 with a VM instructing me to call 1-800-754-0961 regarding a 650 #. I did not recognize. I googled verizon instead at 1-800-281-8584. Connected me with the Verizon wireless at 1800 922 0204 re a bill and some activity on tablets. I could not verify these other numbers with the people I spoke with. I just did not call them. Seemed phishy
