Total scam

It's totally a scam... they keep calling my land line... and if I ever get an actual person they keep asking for my SS number... are you kidding?  who gives out their ss number.  If you give a fake number they put you on hold forever... Total Scam!!

This number is a scam per Verizon.  Do not call it back or give any personal information 800-754-0961.

This is NOT Verizon wireless. I received a text message on my phone that said my account is in collections and will be cancelled in 24 hours. Since I am a Verizon customer I called them. They have pulled the text message off of my account and sent it to the FRAUD Dept. Do not send these people anything!!!!

I also confirmed with Verizon that this is not their number. This is a scam number. Do not call it. For the people who did Call it and think it is Verizon you were scammed.

don’t know what is up but i get verizon text telling me to pay within 24 hours.  the note is not same wording to pay bill as actual verizon late payment.  different web address and everything and if i have questions, call 800-754-0961.  i did a phone lookup and it came up a person’s initials.  Really!!??

They called me to say my account had been suspended for suspicious activity I called Verizon and that is not true. This is a scam trying to get your information.

I got a msg from this number. Msg starts in the middle w/ my number as the supposed reference number.

I received the call too, but did NOT return it. SCAM!! They said wireless account.

They just want to get your pin and ease drop on conversation

So it's like the IRS for paying phone bills. You might have it all wrong.

Received this fake Verizon call as well- I did not answer it or return it. Total scare tactic again that they’re using trying to get your info. This is NOT a real Verizon call!! Do not answer or call back!!

Received a call from this number, listed as State Employee.  I listened to my voice mail, they did not state a business but asked that when you call to use your phone number as the password to enter when prompted.

I got a call from a Denver number I had saved as a funeral home I dealt with in January. The message said to call 8007540861. How did they steal that business number? Interesting.

I've also been getting calls from this number, saying they're calling from Verizon Wireless.  I didn't return the call because the name they gave as being associated with this account is not my name, and I know I'm up-to-date with my payments.  I will block their calls, and report them to Verizon.  Thanks for posting your experience, Cawaian.  It was helpful to me.  Have a great day!

I got a call from this number today. While I have gotten calls fell Verizon Wireless about my bill, they've NEVER asked me to call and put in a reference number and the call does not usually come up as from PA. My calls are usually redirected when I'm behind on my bill. Verizon recognizes your number when you call and asks you for your PIN so these scammers probably need your phone number to save the number.

For all we know the scammers are the only ones saying it's real. I will NOT be calling this number or giving them any information and I would advise everyone here to do the same.

Should you need to contact Verizon, do it through their ACTUAL website and get the phone number from there. Always safest to do it from the main source itself.

I’ve verified with Verizon that neither of these numbers are associated with Verizon financial. The number for their finance department is 866-266-1445

I checked the number after not answering. I'm on a pal plan, so never receive a direct bill.
