- ANON replies to GingerI USED TO WORK THERE AND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS TRUE. THE OWNER BANKS ON BECOMING AN ANNOYANCE AND SAYS IT PROUDLY AT FLOOR MEETINGS. THE OWNER IS LESS THAN HUMAN AND ONLY SERVES HIS COMMUNITY FOR GOOD PR. HIS COMPANY IS A REPUTABLE ONE HE ASSERTS, BUT HIS REPUTATION AND FOOLISHNESS LEAVES MANY TO WONDER.....IF YOU COMPARE A KIA TO A PEDAL BIKE, OF COURSE THE KIA SEEMS LIKE GOLD! HE HAS A DOUBLE STANDARD AND PRACTICES LIKE IT. HE SAYS HORRIBLE LEWD COMMENTS, IS HIGHLY JUDGEMENTAL AND OPERATES BY THE STEREOTYPE THEORY, AND ALWAYS SINKS TO HIS CONTENDER'S LEVEL OR LOWER. HE WILL SPEAK OF YOU FALSELY IF HE CAN AND SLANDER YOUR GOOD NAME. PUT THT BUSINESS OUT OF BUSINESS. IT IS A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT DESERVE LOYALTY OR THT TITLE. EVERYONE SHLD BE ASHAMED TO SAY THT THEY HAVE WORKED FOR HIM. I KNOW I AM AND HOPE TO KEEP ALL DEALINGS WITH SUCH A MISERABLE GROUP OF PEOPLE TO A MINIMUM.
- BurrwoodI am being harrased on my cell phone during work. (They will not tell me what they are calling about or who they are.

- lpgot a call from them yesterday.
at first sounds like a lady voice then changed to a automatic male voice says my name correctly (since im not American so its actually really hard to pronouce). they had me on hold for 5minutes. I finally got to talk to someone said blah blah which i wasnt quite understand, probably their company's name or something and one thing that i catch from those sentence is you have debt for $1063! so i said what is this for? they said blah blah again. so i asked why I have to pay this? they ask my name again. I told them my name quickly and then they hang up......by the way the lady sounds pretty rude too! - get real| 1 replyall most of these replies are a bunch of lazy people who have nothing else to whine about. It's an 800 number...answer the phone...if it's a wrong number, the calls will stop. If it is for you, just handle the issue and if you miss the cal, call back..it's free. As far as the DO NOT CALL list, debt collection company aren't part of it. of course, you people you know that is you actually checked into it. and it only harassment if they keep calling within the same day after speaking to someone without their permission. All this things to handle the call take 2 minutes of your precious time or are you really that lazy? BTW..if you handle your business in the first place, debt companies wouldn't be calling you and i'm sure NRA isn't the only one calling.

- lmaoI laugh at all this because you guys act like you don't owe a bill and u do every one misses a bill or two and it goes to collections the reason why they don't say where they are calling from is for security reasons if they told everyone who answered the phone u were in debt u would be pissed trying to sue them for that just answer the phone see if they can help u or you keep getting the calls

- R Raine replies to SamanthaNRA Collecting for BMG Music. I did not order from BMG. They say I owe 30.00. They have most likely spent 100 trying to collect this 30. I will not pay. I did not order this CD or receive it. If I did I would pay. Watch out for these people. SCAMMMMMMMMM
- tem replies to Joni2001? There's a statue of limitations..in PA it's 4 yrs..so tough luck for these so-called collection agencies.
- knunezThey are telling me I owe a bill from National Grid from May 2010. I told them i dont and that I would call them back because I have proof that I paid. I haven't called them back since I read these post.

- Jhowe03They call every few weeks and have never left a message.
- MicahI've been getting these calls for about a month now, I never answer them. But I'm positive I don't owe them money, seeing as I'm only 16 years old.
- stopcallin"I am on the "the NO CALL" list.
- davE replies to CZYou gave them money, what happened? Was there anything on your credit report, and did that go away? Did they stop calling?
My call was b/c of a debt from Columbia House DVDs from 7 years ago. I know I got free DVDs from them (for signing up), even paid for one, but then quit it and they just start calling me now - after 7 years? Anyone else get something similar? - Murkwood Forest replies to HappyoneNO, you do not have to give them anything. You can tell them not to call you again. Register with the no call registry and sue them if they continue harass you. Do not be extorted. They know know more about your neightbor than you do.
- ChuckV| 1 replyCalled my cell phone. Called back, they were looking for someone I have never heard of. Said they are NRA Group. Seemded a bit stupid.
- Caller: NRA Group
- davE replies to ChuckVChuckV - I just got called again and they said I owed about $10 less than what I owed when they called 2 weeks ago. I said no go b/c their a scam and Carol told me, "you can choose your words however you'd like."
Has anyone gotten on the no-call list and actually stopped getting called? - RachelW| 1 replyExceptions to the do-not-call rule
Known exceptions
Placing one's number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most, but not all, unsolicited calls. The following are exceptions granted by existing laws and regulations.
The registry only applies to residential lines, not to business lines.[4]
A person may still receive calls from political organizations.
The organization Citizens for Civil Discourse has lobbied Congress to close this loophole by developing a National Political Do Not Call Registry where voters can register their phone numbers and ask politicians to take the "Do Not Contact Pledge". Its database is not backed by the force of law and as of November 2008, only 3 politicians running for office signed the pledge.[5]
A person may still receive calls from not-for-profit organizations.[6]
A person may still receive calls from those conducting surveys.
A person may still receive calls from companies with which he or she has an existing business relationship for up to 18 months after his or her last purchase, payment, or delivery from it, unless person specifically asks the company not to call again.
A person may still receive calls from a company up to 31 days[7] after submitting an application or inquiry to that company, unless the company is specifically asked not to call.
A person may still receive calls from bill collectors (either primary creditors or collection agencies). These callers are, however, regulated by other laws, such as those limiting them to calling during "reasonable hours." Some creditors may not call debtors who file for bankruptcy protection.

Collection agencies are not subject to the do not call registry, because they aren't selling anything. But if they have a wrong number they should remove it as such. Also, there are other laws that do regulate them and you can look it up on google under FDCPA. Allll sorts of information. And yes the phone number 1 800 814 6580 came up on my cell phone. I ignored it and 2 seconds later received the same phone call. I do work for a collections agency, but would never ever treat someone like what I have read on here. I'm not a rude person, and if I were to ever do something like that I would be escorted out in a heartbeat. And I have NO PROBLEM with removing wrong phone numbers, it's a waste of time to call one.- Caller: NRA?
- ABRAHAMTHIS NUMBER KEEP CALLING MY CELL PHONE ASSKING FOR SOME NAMES I NEVER HEARD OFF.
- Caller: RNA GROUP
- DianeThey have repeatedly called and when I finally answered they wouldn't tell me who they were at first and kept asking me who I was. I said "but you called me" and then had no choice but to hang up on them after they said "nra." Awful and creepy.

- . replies to RachelWSeveral debt collectors known for engaging in harassing calls have recentley been sued in TCPA class actions. If you are receiving calls from a debt collector intended for someone else, particularly if you are receiving robocalls to your cell phone, and they fail to remove you from their call list, consult an attorney regarding suing for violations of TCPA.
TCPA penalties are potentially far greater than FDCPA, as they can be up to $1500 per call, so you are more likely to get their "attention".
