- John DeBellGot a call this morning, but no-one replied to my "Hello". I've been getting toll-free calls like this from different numbers repeatedly in the past few weeks. Since I'm able to do it, I've been blocking the ones that call, from calling again.

- P BrackleyI received a call from 202-657-6092 (Washington,DC) then they called me back from 800-829-1040. They told me how I owed IRS money and if I set up a payment plan today they would not send it to "court". I needed to pay them using Tax voucher or iTunes card for $100. After I followed those instructions I was told that due to setting up the payment plan if I paid an additional $500 via VISA prepaid card, the entire debt would be forgiven. I did not give him any more money. I contacted the IRS AND the Federal Trade Commission and filled out the forms. I then contacted Apple and they disabled the iTunes account that had been used--still out $100 but could have been worse.......I will now contact the Walmart corporate office to see if I can get a refund from the cards per the representative from Apple. She told me that I might have been better off if I had bought the cards from Apple/iTunes directly( to try to get the money refunded). HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE!!!

- Likisha GasqueThey called my house telling my daughter (a minor)that they was gonna sue me. I called back and they told me I owe 9,800 back taxes from 2010-2015. I never received any certified letters. I was told I had to choices to resolve this matter. (1) come to D.C. Federal court or (2) make a payment plan. They threatened to take my license, freeze my bank accounts, take away my vehicles, and inform my employer. Yes, I gave him a good cursing out, because you don't tell my daughter anything like that. It was a foreign voice the person had. He need to be caught and receive maximum punishment.

- Natalie-I just got a call from 315-203-8881. From a John Watson (foreign voice) IRS Badge #100479. Stating mailings were sent out, individuals came to the house, and phone calls made repeatedly to reach me. Said that I probably didn't answer because I thought it was telemarketers calling. Was asked if I wanted to settle out of court. I asked could I speak to a supervisor because I couldn't understand him. Which was never done. I then asked to show me proof of certified letters coming here since February. John Watson stated that someone would be here tomorrow with all the information I'm asking about.

These are all numbers that represent a corrupt organization attempting to fraudulently confiscate money from US citizens. They all have East Indian accents and claim that the IRS has a Law Suit against you and want you to buy a Electronic Payment Card at CVS, Albertsons or other public businesses so you can send it to them while they hold on your phone to make sure you submit money to them. This is outrageous. I called the numbers back and said I am with HOMELAND SECURITY and they will all be executed or deported lol. They need to be stopped so please if you see these numbers call the authorities.- Caller: IRS imposter

- JVI received 2 calls from phone number 512-717-0700 with a recorded message stating that me or my attorney needed to all this number back immediately. It said the call was from officer Heather (something) from the Internal Revenue Service.
When I called the number back today, a man with a heavy accent answered. He asked for my name and last 4 digits of my social security number, then asked to verify the address he had on file. He asked how I filed my taxes, individually or with someone, and how they were filed, by me or someone else. He then stated that the call was being recorded. He said that he was from an audit department with the IRS and that they had found that I my taxes were completed incorrectly from 2012-2015 and that I owed $8,400. He said that I needed to pay this amount within the next 2 hours or that a sheriff would be arriving at my door and charges would be filed. He also said that they had sent 2 previous letters which we had not responded to. When I stated that we hadn’t received any letters from the IRS, he said they would have required signature and if we weren’t home at that time, they would have been returned. When I asked him how I would know if this was a legitimate call, he said to go to google and search for “IRS toll free numbers” and this phone number would be found.
I ended up hanging up and immediately received 5 calls from 800-829-1040, which I did not answer.- Call type: Prank
