If it is a creditor, I thought they are required by law to identify themselves and leave a message.  Also, I thought they were bound to observe certain time restrictions on when they call.  This caller has done neither of these things.

I received this call on my home phone when we were late on a payment to Capital One. After we made the payment, the calls stopped. Try that. If you don't have a card with Capital One, maybe you are getting calls for the person that had your number before you. This number is the number to Capital One Credit, and if you call it back, you should be able to speak to a person after going through the automated system.

Two calls per day to my work phone.  No message.

I don't know why they would be calling me.  I have not owed them money for months.  I have a zero balance with them right now and they called my house 3 times within 3 min this morning.

I refuse to believe that this number is truly making calls on behalf of Capital One legitimately. I have never had anything to do with Capital One. There is no reason they should be calling me several times a day asking for my credit card and social security information.

I've received several calls from this number on my cell phone and haven't answered it.  Usually if it's a someone you owe money to the number tends to be an 888 number.  I saw that it could be capital one after looking at this website and although I do have a credit card with them, I've actually already sent in a payment very early so I just don't understand the calls and no one leaves a message.

twice on Sunday morning......... 800-955-6600..... Captial One. I am going to call them back everyday till they stop.

I'v had 5 calls in the last two days from 800-955-6600. When I don't answer they leave no message. When I do answer they hang up. How do I make it Stop!

I receive calls from this number 3-5 times a day. When I answer they hang up. when I don't answer they don't leave a message. How do I get them to stop?

I just logged in to my Capital One account and I am not overdue nor have I missed a payment at any time. If it's Capital One and they're calling about overdue and/or missed payments, why are they calling me?

800-955-6600 CID called 5 times a day. Really annoying! Checked on net, seems like it was from Capital One.... I would never use this card.

I've been getting calls from this number for months now.  Usually, it happens when my phone is off or I'm not around to answer it (spare phone), so I just brush it off.  It's typically a foreign voice asking for Kevin (no, there's no Kevin in my house), but lately the message has been something to do with Capital One collections, so I figured I'd dive into the issue and get the calling to stop.

Here's the fun progression:
1. I called the number back today and asked to have my number removed.  Service rep said she'd fix it.
2. About 5 minutes later, the phone rings -- "Kevin?"  I responded, "you have the wrong number, who is this?".  <she hangs up>
3. I called the main customer service number 800-955-7070 and explained the previous 2 events.  She responded, "Well, can I have your name?"  To which I asked, "Does that matter?"  She says, "Yeah, so you spoke with someone already?"  "Yes, another service rep told me she'd fix the issue but I'm still getting calls from this number."  "Well, if she said she'd fix it, it will be fixed within 24 hours."  <she hangs up>   "hello?"

If I get another call from this number, I'm going to lose my mind.

I receive multiple calls from this number on my cell every day. They are calling for someone named "Wendy" (obviously not me, obviously a wrong number).

What can I do to get them to stop? I have complained about them to Do Not Call and have begged them to stop and told them I do not know who "Wendy" is, but they won't stop.

They've been calling me twice a day for like 2 weeks.  I never pickup, but it leave partial recorded messages on my phone that I have to go erase.  It's so annoying that I have to put my phone on mute during the day and miss important calls.

I'm getting calls from them, and have NEVER had a Capital One credit card? So they can't be callign me about payments? Anyone else getting the calls but not a customer?
