Pay your freakin bill(s)....that is the reason they are calling..because you're not...idiots

I got this call several times while away on vacation. I do not have nor have ever had a Capital One card or any other dealing with Capital One. I picked up during one call and got a recorded message. I called the number and was asked for my 16 digit Capital One card number. I hit "zero" several times to try and get a person. Next I was asked to enter my SSN. I entered 123456789. I was connected to a person obviously in India who asked for my 16 digit card number. I responded that I did not have one. She asked for my phone number which I gave her. It is a listed number. She indicated that my number would be removed form future calls within 48 hours.

I strongly suspect this is a scam. NEVER CALL AN UNKNOWN NUMBER AND GIVE EITHER A CREDIT CARD NUMBER OR SSN.

I believe these calls have nothing to do with whether or not you have a Capital One card.

same thing happens...for months we get multiple calls a day from them, even on weekends and no messages. today i answered to tell them to quit it, and no one spoke up. i think this is a case for dateline NBC!

Don't want a card from them if they're acting like this also I don't have their card. This is just plain crap to get continuous calls everyday except for holidays and then the phone is quiet.

My phone caller ID memory buffers is so full all my other caller ID is gone, with this bunch of 800 service UNKNOWN  CALLER. Those just call back with a bogus name. US Congress needs to curb this crap as it has got out of control.

Pay your bill and they will stop calling.  Trust me... IT WORKS!!

We get calls from this number up to 10x/day and no one is ever on the other line. Our Caller ID shows SIGNET BANK-VA.

I'm receiving calls from this number and I got my cell phone only a week ago. I don't have any credit cards.

I'm sick of them calling me!! I answered it once and I couldn't understand what they were saying. Now I stopped answering the phone calls but I'm so sick of them calling me.. It needs to stop!!!!

They have a automatic dialer call 10 times a day and it waits to hear you say hello then connects you to someone in india to harass you about your bill. capital one is a trap, they issue low limit cards then hit you with $80 a month in fees when you slip up.

They ask for credit card and social security number. Do not give it to them. It is a scam. If it was legit Capital One, You would get a person.
Rediculous.

Aperson called and claimed to be from CapitalOne, saying that my credit card payment was overdue and asked if I woul like to pay over the phone. Fortunately I knew my card was in good status. When I questioned him he rang off. I will also report this to CapitalOne

It's Capital One

I receive calls from this number almost daily. One the time i have answered my phone, the man on the other end with a very thick accent asks for someone other then me (like Thomas, or John, or William). He has called and asked from different people every time. I tell him that they are not here, and then he hangs up. Here is a script version of my last call.

Ring Ring

Me: "Hello?"

Man: "Hello, is John there?"

Me: "umm No, Who is this?"

Man: "Is John there?"

Me: "NO, Why are you calling?!"

....silence...

These calls continually disturb my life, and i have no been able to keep them on the phone long enough to let me know what is going on. the one time i told them i was william( which i am not) they asked me if i had a capitol one credit card, and i said no, and i dont want one. they then hung up.

I have read about people getting these similar calls, and they request that you confirm their information about you, like your social security number and address. DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM! they intensionally give you wrong information, hoping you will correct it with your real information. NEVER give people ANY information about you unless you know who they are.

I don't have a Capital One Account of any sort.

This number is driving me nuts. It calls me 6 times in a row, back to back, I actually let my phone ring right in front of me, and I can't believe the calls I got back to back from this same number. I don't have a capital one credit card, I don't deal with credit cards, what is their problem?

They need to stop calling me unless they are going to give me a credit card with no such thing as an annual precentage rate.

I get calls every day from them.  I pick up and they don't say anything.  My phone number is registered on the national do not call list. This started after spending a week in Washingto DC and Virginia

never been a capitol one customer. calls started after i filed for the no call directory for this number. twice a day. never had the card. never late. spoke with "managers" 5 times. there needs to be some federal action here. i'm looking forward to corresponding with the numbers above. appears from the no call registry page that here's another federal whoha with no teeth

I am very tired of this number calling my cell.  No message, no answer if I do pick up, irritating.  If it is Capital One, not very professional, and I am going to cancel my credit card.  It is very much harrassment.
