who's calling me from this number?

please tell this person to stop calling me,or they are dgoing to get it.

Capital One Collections Department. Pay your bills!

Just got a new phone with new number yesterday and have been about ten times already.  I told them it's a new phone and I'm not the person they're looking for.  I also called back twice and explained this.  First time lady said they'd stop calling.  The next time I was hung up on.  They keep calling.  If I answer it uses up my cell minutes, and they also leave voice mails (no actual message, just a rude sounding comment that once again I'm supposed to call them) and listening to these voice mails also uses my minutes.  This can't be legal.  They've been told three times.  How do I make them stop?

It's Capital One.  I paid them, but short a few dollars.

It's Capital One calling to try to collect on a credit card bill.
In Texas and Florida, they CAN NOT COLLECT on an unsecured account
like a credit card. Ask a lawyer. Texas and Florida are debtor states and even if they go to court and get a judgement, they cannot collect an unsecured judgement. Again, ask a lawyer. You probably dont have to file bankruptsy or anything. It helps if you can just change your phone number every few months. In other states they CAN collect if you have assets, bank accounts and even levy part of your wages. BUT NOT IN TEXAS and FLORIDA. Ask a lawyer in those states. If they trick you and get you to sign a judgement that GIVES THEM a secured interest in your assets, that's too bad. You should not convert an unsecured debt into a secured debt.

This is indeed the collections service for Capital One.  In my case, I had never signed up for a Capital One credit card, and my name was used fraudulently. This will definitely effect your credit rating if you don't call Capital One and clear it up.  Customer Service : 800-955-7070  (I had to keep hitting zeroes to get to a real person.)

I'm getting about 4-5 calls on my cell phone per day. I don't answer, but sometimes they leave a message which is a recording.

Called Saturday morning at 8:15 am, didn't answer.  Called again at 9:45 and answered.  It was CapitalOne looking for a roommate that I hadn't had in about 7 years.  Told them he no longer lives here and haven't for sometime and asked if I knew how to get a hold of him.  I told them no, and they said they would not call again and hasn't since.  They were looking for him to pay his bill.

Call 4 times a day even after talking to me.  Rude. Liers.

I don't have an account with Capital One!  Sheesh!!!! Wish they'd stop calling.  They call every morning (including Sunday!!!!)at 8 something and several times throughout the day!!!

They will call 3-4 times a day for about 30 days and then finally give up.  I ended up in financial trouble and told them that for the time being, I could only send them a hundred dollars a month instead of my minimum payment of two seventy five.  They said that they had to have the minimum payment or the calls would continue.  I just quit answering.  Now a year later, they have sued me in court for the money.  
MAKE SURE YOU DOCUMENT ANY ARRANGEMENTS YOU MAKE WITH THEM!!!!  THEY WILL HARRASS YOU ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!!!

Who is this?? They call and never leave a message.

The thing is, I DON'T have a capitol one credit card, AND we have called them to tell them to STOP calling. They've been calling since possibly January and they still haven't stopped.  It's getting REALLY annoying.

I recieved 10 calls a day from this number as well. They never stayed on the line long enough for me to answer. But when I call back it asks for my credit card number. Who the heck asks for your credit card number over the phone without any verification of who they are??? If this is Cap One, this is in very, very bad taste and I will never do business with them again.

The main concern I have is....I DONT EVEN HAVE A CAPITAL ONE CREDIT CARD! I would be concerned ppl that this is not identity theft at work.

I don't have a capital one card! They have called my cell phone several times and asked for a different person every damn time! The people that call are obviously Indian and I cannot understand half of what they say. I just called the number mentioned above and again I could not understand the person I was talking too. Maddening!

Why is everyone complaining about this number calling them.  Pay your bills and they'll stop!

Try this, call that number and when it asks you for credit card number, say: "1-2-3-4" repeat 3 times or "1-2-3-4" repeat 4 times. If that doesn't work, wait until it asks you to SAY your social security number. Say: "1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9" and that should get you to the customer service. If you don't have an account with them, tell them. Don't give them your social, if you don't have an account with them, ***DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR SOCIAL***

Tell them your name and the number they are calling THAT'S IT! They'll take you off their calling list.

It appears that they call cell phones more often. People go bad with the credit cards and make up a number so Capital Bank can call, or they used to have your number before you got it. No wonder they changed it, it's annoying!

We do not have acard from Capital ONE.Nontheless these people call as early as 700 am and then 5-7 times daily until 11pm
