Take good care of them,take them to school in the morning and pick them up later in the day. You willl always take them out. They are not choosy when it comes to food,but they like pizzaz alot.i believe you are fit for this position in as much you will prove yourself a reliable and and good person. We would expect your service to commence by the 27th of March.2009, as such our expected arrival date would be towards 29th of March . 2009 in order for you to be around and available to assist in the setting up of the house on that day, being that our belongings and furniture which are in charge of the shipper are bound to arrive soon.

We have concluded to pay an upfront 1 week payment to you inorder to secure your service ahead of time and to show commitment, the first payment would serve as a deposit to hold your service till our arrival, so that you may know how interested and serious we are to secure your service.For your transportation,we would work out something worthwhile and make provision for transport allowance, which will be paid together with your wages, regardless of your distance. This idiot contacted me through Craig's list.  His company will send me a check for the rent and deposit.  But it will be for more than that.
I contacted the ftc.  They told me that this is a total scam.  He has you wire the extra money to him and of course the check is no good and you are responsible for that money. Pass this on to others you know using Craig's List. Always a jerk to ruin things for good people.

I too had an ad on craiglist for a rental home-His name is Bob Gates now-it is the exact same wording as the others-Creepy

contacted from ray taylor and that he works for Culligan with Mark Seals the President of Culligan.  I asked him some pointed questions, he evaded them and I told him no further info until he corroborated his info.  He and Brent Gibbins are scammers.  beware.  The number answers about some AOL thing.

He now works for a tourism company in London.  Getting crafty with the passport number, etc.  I think he was bored with his last few jobs!!

I am getting email from same group now using the name richard or andrea jolly, with wessex, going to work for black and veatch in Utah... same ol same ol... my representative pay with certified check yada, yada. and gives actual CFO of Black and Veatch as his reference. this one is better than most scam emails i get!

i found a post on craigslist for someone wanting a nanny for their two kids. I sent the e-mail resonding to it and i get one back from this guy claiming to be Mr Mike Steel,A Widow, 42 years old and a free lance research consultant. Said he would be needing me to be a nanny for his children Michael and Alicia when he arrives to the States while he would be away on work. Also stated that their mother died couple of years back.

here is a quote from his resonse e-mail:

he/she is going by Collin Brown, claiming to start a new job at Black & Veatch.

The same thing happened to me when I put an ad on craigslist for a rental property in a KC suburb. I was seriously thinking about telling other interested people that the house was rented, until I googled this guy. Thank you google! The same person emailed me, calling himself Mike Steel. Found him on Craigslist looking for a sitter for his two kids. He said he was coming to the states for one year to get is son and daughter. He offered $700 up front. He said he works for Wessex Survey & Design Ltd UK and during his stay he'll be working with the United States Steel Corporation. For a reference he gave David Richards at 832-615-1294. He then told me to no longer call the number, as i had been disconnected.  Said, "You will receive the Check,cash it from your bank, deduct your pay of $700 and send the remaining via Money Gram Transfer to the Travel Planner because our arrival needs to be taken care of asap."

Looks like the same guy but he responded to my add for a nanny on Craigs list.

I didn't get a call, but email inquiry about renting my house.  He used the name Dan Rouse "mailto:darn.inc1102@gmail.com".  Exactly the same response as the other ones posted here, works for Wessex Survey and design company, etc. Total scam.  I'm just going to stop replying.
