I also received email contact regarding my Craigslist apartment rental ad from the " English engineer" from Wessex Survey and Design Ltd Uk, using the alias terry mark (terrymark109@gmail.com).  He also used identical wording and MO as in the many reports.  Evidently still active.  May 16, 2010

I got the same info. Let this be a lesson to us all. These are most likley not a group out of the country. These are Gypsies. They are very common in Seattle / Tacoma. They run scams all of the time. This way they can send the rep for the furniture co to get the $$ and down the road they go.

The case has been closed.  It is romani people within the citi scamming us with cashier cheques to they can put furniture on their wagons and sell them elsewhere!

I found it hard to believe all you said about this guy, bec i got something similar to this email and this guy arrived from London with his wife to my house 3 days ago. So my advise is that you don't conclude every one who is contacting you out of state is a scammer.. There are still good people.

I don't think so guy. People are on to you...
I hear you go by several names but the story is same and that you've been
doing this for years. Scamming sucks.

This is the 2nd email I received from this person in response to a Craigslist ad for a house for rent in NH. I entered the salford manchester address into google and found out about the scam. It appears that Bayley Constuction is a legit company, but he is not Ron Bayley.

Thank goodness for the website.  Almost fell for it. Thought something was big time fishy when I kept asking for him to fill out a credit and criminal background and he just kept ignoring the request. Received three emails from this joker.
Last one made it seem legit.
But its pretty obvious after two emails they are computer generated responses.
