KEEP CALLING, INDIAN GUY ANSWERS AND HANGS UP 100% FAKE BE CAREFUL

I just answered a call from this number. A woman who sounded Indian or perhaps Pakistani, asked for me by name. I responded. She told me a jumbled name which involved initials, and told me the conversation was being recorded, "Is that okay?" I responded that I needed to know what she was calling about before I would agree to that, and she told me she could not proceed without my permission to record the call. She gave no indication about the nature of the call. I have now blocked this caller from my Android.

It is indeed a medical debt recovery company according to their website.  Thank you "John Smith" for providing the name of the company.  I've traced the website to http://www.amcaonline.com/contact.php.  Note, their customer service number is (844) 505-DEBT.  I get 1 call per day for the last few weeks.  Unfortunately, they hang up if I ask too many questions and never identify themselves.  They must outsource their calls to India, which many companies are doing these days.  Today, I received a response from the  "representative" with a Middle Eastern accent, clearly calling from a dialing system, who finally said that he was with AMCA, but would give no further information unless I confirmed my name, which of course, I would not.  I then asked him to take my number off their call list and to send something in writing.  I will not respond to random calls.  Hope this helps.

I receive 2 calls a day from this number, Mon-Fri. I have never answered though.

received 2 calls from this number today.  One at 9:56am and one at 5:21pm.  I answered both calls, but no one spoke either time.

This number has called over 13 times. No message but I never call unknown numbers back. Looks like it is fraud or a scam.

They are a third party from whom you have received no service and to whom you owe nothing. If you a have a real medical debt, then the hospital or doctor you actually owe can contact you. Pay the hospital or doctor directly and only pay them. You have made no debt with a third-party collector and are not required to respond to them.

They call me all the time leave a voice mail with nothing on it.

Am looking for a class action suit to join against them. Please list the state or case number. California was settled.

They have been calling me numerous times a day all year. I am on the do not call list. This started from a $25 co pay I paid in cash and paid again a few months ago directly (have 2nd receipt & think have 1st receipt somewhere, haven't gone through all my papers trying to find it yet). I have never been even late once in my life on a payment except for this medical billing error.

I report them every time to: complaints.donotcall.gov & last week filed a complaint with the FCC against both.
Haven't heard anything back but still get called daily!

This number keeps calling me at all hours and never leaves a message. How can I block them?

At least 3-4 times a day I get a call from this number and don't accept it.  Really tired of it though.

This number calls me about 10 times a day and never leaves a message. You'd think they'd get the message that I don't answer unknown numbers. I never had this problem until Obama passed that legislation to make cell numbers available for solicitation. They give you a number to opt out, but it doesn't work.

Calls constantly. Wont leave a message. Sometimes calls back to back.

Is this also more if your number is on the national do-not-call registry?

Scam has also called me a couple days in a row wanting me to pay for a doctor bill. I looked a round and found out that I am completely cough up with all my bills.  Don't give him any information, hes a fake
