Someone has phoned me from this number 7 times so far today.

15 calls in a day from 8.00 am to 23.11 pm. No message left. Why if it is important don't they leave a message. I am preferential protection was is it allowed in?

I have had 16 calls from this number over 24 hours.   I was not available to answer but am horrified.

The same number shows for any company that texts your landline
I often have this number pop up, friends send SMS to me.
It is NOT a scam, it is BT, the company TEXTING MAY be scammers, but the service itself is fine.

Have been having calls from this number every half an hour for the last 2 days going right up to 10pm it is driving me mad

This number has been repeatedly calling for the last couple of days. It is a bloody nuisance

These people have rung me this afternoon 8 times.  Do they seriously think I am going to answer

Have had several calls on my landline from this number.  Three today alone.  There has always been a message left: a female voice who says "four, five."  Have never called back.

just add a 0 too the number at the beginning its a s,m,s. messaging service

I have been advised by a friend that someone has sent me a text to my landline and to put an'O' in front of the sender number and indeed then did get the BT texting Service   -  but they had NO text for my landline number.    Can anyone find a solution to this annoying telephone ringing mis- use -  is it a scam?    Is it against the law?How do 'they' make money from annoying people - even in the middle of the night.   Can BT turn this answering service off at least at night?

A number used to make harassing calls. It may have something to do with BT but I have nothing to do with BT I don't have a BT phone line every Monday I receive several calls from this number, I don't want phone calls from them and BT needs to be held accountable for them, even if its not them who are making them.

Just received 2 calls in 10 mins from this number. On the second occasion I answered but no one spoke.

If you put a 0 as the first number it is sms by service, someone has sent a text message to your landline

Add a 0 in front, it's BT messenging service.

Rang twice so far don’t think it is English hangs up before voice mail don’t know what to do

Just had this number call me twice checked and its BT SMS message number,dialled but no message was left,also I'm with Virgin Media so don't know why or how I received it.

This number has been bothering me for weeks, all hours of the day and night.

I too had the same calls and did as suggested and added a zero to the number i can confirm its not a scam and it is BT messaging service a friend had sent a text to my landline!
