- Dave BackshellI am receiving unsolicited texts from XINWIN operated by Xinion Limited. They are charging me £4.50 per week for text messages that give me the (so called) chance to win different prizes.
They say that if I send 'STOP' in my reply they will cease charging me.....yeah, yeah....but I cannot access my reply button.
Clever b*****ds!
I am talking to Watchdog about it and they are investigating. Tried my provider O2, but they play a game called, "Sorry....can't help you".
Filthy, underhand scam!- Caller: WinNow.xinwin.co
- Alicia kuhnWas using my iPad when this message came up that I might be anApple smartphone winner. Like a fool I responded and the received a text from 85222 to say I will be charged £4.50 per week! I did not receive any calls, just texts. I send STOP immediately to 85222. Will have to wait and see if I have been charged. Am so annoyed with myself!

- SusanJust looked at my BT bill and then after logging out and but still, as I thought, on BT page, I did a stupid quick competition, gave my number, as I thought it was BT, but it wasn't,and was immediately charged £4.50 and this would continue each week unless I text, stop, to 82288. This I did but message failed, 3 times??? I text stop to original text, same number, and have received message stating they have received my message to stop all text services. I expect I shall now have to wait until next week to see if this has actually been stopped. This is a scam and one BT needs to highlight.

- Rob2Same story as above, received text from 82288 and fell for the "FREE" entry pitch, but fortunately realized in time to prevent ongoing payments being deducted. Spoke to my provider, EE, who have told me they have placed an immediate block on any future calls. Also called the helpline at XINWIN, who, after 7 minutes of circular debate, offered no redress.

Thank you for your email.
We take customer care at PantherPlay very seriously and always take customers' feedback on board.
Unfortunately we cannot offer additional refund as we have a refund policy in place.
Our service does NOT breach any of the networks' code of practice. The refund you have been offered is completely discretionary. The reason we offer a 4 week refund policy is because before this point users have been informed of the service pricing and key terms and conditions on three occasions in our flow.
• The price is clear and prominent on the promotional material and presented before any opt in details are available. We can see from our system that your mobile number was entered into one of our sites on 2015-02-20 17:21:41
• After your mobile number was entered into our sites. We received the confirmation keyword reply of PAD at 2015-06-19 22:49:50 to confirm entry into the services.
• After receiving the confirmation keywords from your mobile number to join the services. We sent one joining confirmation texts that were successfully delivered to the handset at 2015-06-19 21:50:05 . These messages contained pricing info, how to stop the services and our helpline phone number.
• Your mobile number was sent reminder messages every month after being a member of the services for 4 weeks. These messages informed you of the pricing details, key terms and conditions and how to stop the services.
The service is now inactive and you will receive no further messages from this service
A 4 week refund policy is common practice and in line with refund polices for other industries. The refund will be issued by text to the mobile number provided. - Michellei just received my last bill from Vodafone which was extremely high, when i looked at my invoice there was the amount of £36 extra charges for premium rate texts 87066 or 85955 numbers.... something i did not request. when i spoke to Vodafone about it they told me that this was a shared party code, when asked what that meant they could not answer me. i asked them where did they get my details from they said i should contact help care line to have it removed. i have lost this money and have no way of getting it back. i just want these text to stop. people are being scammed and they don't even know they are and be being one of them. if you have any advise on how to stop this then please let me know

- bob replies to CatExplanation required, please.
You say that you sent joining confirmation after receiving receiving Confirmation Keyword.
If you look at the dates and times given in support of that statement you will observe that you sent that confirmation email roughly ONE HOUR BEFORE you received the KEYWORD. - Gail WilliamsI've just been scammed too. Got my O2 bill to find £18 had been deducted and paid to these crooks. O2 say they have stopped the payments but I had to ring a tel number 03332027722 re this. I did and was told no reimbursement as I had 'authorised' it. I hadn't...demanded a complaints manager and was told to email. I did this and now have been assured I will get my money back within 28 days via my mobile and I will need to go to a post office to get the money. Any chance? Anyone reported to Trading standards if it is a UK company?
- Gail Williams replies to CatCat...almost exactly what they said to me. Money back within 28 day tho , by mobile which I have to take to the post office to encase! Did you get your refund?
- Susan harristake £4.50 every two days, I'm glad I'm pay as you go so I stopped buying credit ,it's a scam to get money from people, they need to be stopped.
