85222 got messages from this number no message when I opened it they were sent after midnight when my daughter was in bed asleep. When I checked the bill on line I was charged £2.08 per message the messages where sent one after another.....  Not happy with this as she didn't send them one so how did they get her number !!!!! And I want the money back...

Hi, I've just realised Ive been ripped off by these scammers too since 2013!!!  I get online bills so rarely download them.  I give a lot to charity via text so assumed it was that.  I have asked them to stop and I really want this to be made more public.  I can't believe O2 can't warn their customers.  I have been getting 12 texts from them each month but they send 3 at a time for which O2 refund them from me!!! Ridiculous and daylight robbery.  How many others are unaware of this.  They said I must have signed up to win an iPad - I have an iPad already.  Also on none of their texts do they state that I am being charged £1.50 per text for being advised I am in a poxy competition. I can't believe people can text you and charge you without your consent.  I have threatened them with going to the media about this.

just had three calls in a row from this number on a phone I am not using anymore, vodafone message says premium text message waiting from 85222  insufficient credit please top up to receive...  what ever you do DO  not answer these calls it was costing me a tenner every time I opened the texts

i keep having these texts saying preuim call £4.50 atime i can not put any money on phone  as they keep taking it i have text stop lots of times to no avail.phoned vodaphone said they would sort it but have had no answer .this is a big scam can it not be stoped

Have just had my monthly £7.50 monthly charge go up to £25 thanks to two numbers 85222 and 88227.  I don't even know who these numbers belong to.  Because I didn't know them I just deleted them.  Yes, I know really stupid but didn't read them so didn't know to opt out.  Shan't make that mistake again!!!

If you go to http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/    and input those numbers in turn PhonepayPlus will show the data they hold about the caller.     If you would like their assistance the people on their phones are helpful.       As a serive from OFCOM it is free.

After contacting my Fone company  and researching on line I find that Panther play has been taking money without my consent

Make sure you enter STOP if you receive any texts which you don't recognise
It's very devious and I intend following up on this.

I've just suffered the pain of my Fone bill rising from £14 to £79 and £49 NOT happy

I am getting messages from xinFreeplay who are charging £4.50 a week until I  send 'Stop' to 82288. When I try to stop the call is not delivered. Can anybody offer help to get out of this scam?
