Just tried to sort this out with for my elderly next door neighbour who was also charged £4.50 per week, Virgin told her she must of entered a competition or paid a charity by text message, which she is sure she didn't, Virgin told me to first phone 03332026452 and ask them to cancel the subscription, was asked my mobile number and woman told me that it was cancelled, she told me to get refund for monies xinwin have taken will have to go to xienquire.xinwin.co.uk to fill in on line form to ask for refund, will wait and see what happens

Hi I'm on O2 and I had £4 worth of charges from 85222 last month but wasn't sure what it was, I them received a message yesterday saying "thanks for entering our competition, we will contact you if you win". I have not signed up or subscribed to this number or any competition, I have just been in and checked my bill for this month and it's on £11.35 worth of charges from this number. O2 are unless when you complain Iv had the same number for 8 years and had no problem until last month.

yes, you've been conned, like all these 5-digit "short codes". quite why successive Govt's permit this to happen shows how little interest they have in their constituents & consumer protection. ditto our "reputable" mobile provider who receive a nice little kick back from the originator - they are all "at it" to the detriment of their customers. that said, there's no such thing as a "free lunch" (or brekkie or any other meal for that matter) - ALWAYS read T&Cs before klicking thru any website or spurious text with a link to similar, CON! CON! CON! you might want to go to PayphonePlus website that is the regulator (Joke: Govt approved jobsworths) but their site has details of who is behind these 5-digit nos. good luck!

I started getting these texts in March. The first said to ignore if not requested, so I did. A further 22 messages then appeared over time, telling me about a "skill-based quiz" (no sign of that at any point). These texts cost £1.50 each to receive and I was sometimes getting 3 almost simultaneously telling me I'd be contacted by phone if I'd won a voucher! I didn't check my bill too carefully, as i'd been using my phone abroad and assumed I'd gone over my data limit. I have now contacted iMimobile (they provide the service for itechlogic) via their customer services department, and they have stopped these texts. I had already marked the number as Spam on my phone.

I have already sent a message to you. Do you just ignore these messages. Seems no-one is bothering to answer these messages. Had enough. I just want my money back which is £32. + £ 37. My contract with O2 is £19 per month. Please refund my money. This is making me stressed out. Seems no one is taking the blame for this scam calls.

Why are you ranting at WhoCallsMe?  This is a forum where people report nuisance and scam calls and share information.  It is not the  company taking your money, nor has it a connection with that company.  Your rant should be addressed directly to them and to Phonepayplus.
