change your phone number, then DO NOT give it out for any reason except to those you trust and really want to talk to.. don't give it out for any reason

if someone you buy from needs a phone number.. then remember they sell those numbers..
maybe use your local police departments number.. ??
just don't give it out or use it in any way over the internet or doing business..

Any legit company will write to you if they truly need something..

one more thing..

they spoof what ever numbers they can..
home phones to your cell and reverse.. etc..

The Better Business Bureau of Acadiana is alerting consumers to variations of the Jamaican Phone Scam, which has been operating...
In the new twist of the scam, Jamaicans call residents claiming to be able to assist with loans and credit repair.

To further the scam, the scammers claim to have loan company websites, which often to not exist, and also say the fictional businesses are located within the continental U.S.

The Jamaican callers tell consumers that in order to secure the loan, they must make up to three months payments in advance. But once the payments are made, loans are never issued to the customers.

The scammers also ask for banking information such as account and routing numbers to deposit the loan funds, which do not exist.

This opens residents to identity theft, as the Jamaicans can remove money from bank accounts without authorization.

During the call, the Jamaicans, tell the residents that they won the prizes or were approved for the loans, then tell them they need to send money by either Western Union or a cash card in order to collect their winnings or bank loan.

The BBB reminds everyone that it is illegal for foreign lotteries or sweepstakes to operate within the U.S. and it is also illegal for U.S. citizens to participate in these sweepstakes or lotteries.

The bank loan scam is also illegal, but also outside the reach of U.S. law enforcement, as they are operating from foreign soil.

IF you do answer then,Hang up immediately such as  offering reduced credit card interest rates or home security systems, unless you are certain it’s from a current provider or is a legitimate offer.
Do not press any numbers while on the call as that may simply confirm to the people originating the call that they’ve reached a valid phone number.
Do not press 2 in the hopes of being deleted from the call list.
Do not press 1 to listen to the offer or speak to a representative

They call from this number 3 and 4 times a day I tell them to stop calling but they don't.

I've received calls from this number for the past two days.  I tried calling back and got a "number no longer in service" message.  This is annoying.

IT CALLS MY PHONE 3 TIMES A DAY.

WHAT DO THEY SAY WHEN YOU ANSWER.

company claiming to give grant money and then your suppose to send them to thousands hemof dollars through westurn union.  these people call me all day and has call my friend recently, with the same garbage.

This is amazing, since 3 days I speak threatening warrant for failure to pay taxes, I gave the number to my lawyer and I call this, this is a band of scammers money qe want you out in any way, send block callers number and now this and I say it's from the FBI that you think?

Get multiple calls per day from number/ no one I know/ not answering but they keep calling

I too have been called for about 2 weeks by this number. Today I finally had someone talk when I picked up. It was another country telling me I won a grant of 7000 dollars that I would never have to pay back. I've never applied for any type of help schooling or any type of financial aid. So I simply said I'm not interested. The caller replied "hahaha [***] you." Then hung up. I wish I could find out who this was because I'd have a 15 reasons in a .40 caliber of y he would not try to call and scam anyone ever again

This # is a scam it's a supposed bill collector trying to tell people they owe money for things that they dont

I kept getting these calls at least 3 times a day And would just ignore them finally I answered and just started pushing buttons and hung up then they called me back 5 times in a row saying I want to kiss you and I want to f**k you.

I got a call from this number... It was an Indian lady and I knew it was a scam so I hung up.
I receive a creepy voicemail from the same lady saying "[***] [***]. [***] your ass. I hope you go to hell, and then mumbled some Indian [***]." Im so shocked. NEVER sign up for anything online people.
