I keep receiving calls from this # also.  I picked up one time and it was FIDO doing a survey.  I told them to take me off their calling list.  They keep calling.

C'est une compagnie de télémarketing. Le système contacte plusieurs personnes desfois jusqu'à 10 en même temps. Lorsque vous répondez c'est un système à reconnaissance vocale, si vous dites oui, oui allo alors il reconnait qu'il y a une réponse flush tous les autres et vous met en contact avec l'agent de télémarketing. Si vous raccroché avant vu que vous avez dit oui le système vous rappelera tot ou tard dans la journée. C'est une facon rapide et simple (mais qui fait suer) pour eux de repondre à un max d'appel. Le truc vous voyer ce numéro dite simplement bonjour, bonsoir, qui à l'appareil n'importe quoi sauf oui, yes, allo, hello.

The company that is calling is called ATELKA, they are hired by Fido for customer surveys. If you wish to express your displeasure with these tactics, phone Fido customer service (assuming your their customer) at (888)481-3436 or the survey company's head office in Quebec at (514)448-4905..... Maybe if they're harrassed enough they will stop

I have received for the past month, a call from this number at-least twice a day.
after reading these posts i just tried to call back and it asks if you want to remove you number. i have done so, but am yet to know if this is followed through with.

sounds like Fido is getting ripped off by their marketing company for calls that are not completed. Atelka has a computer printing money.  Fido management is clearly really stupid...and of course they continue to not give a damn about there customers...a la Rogers.

cell phones should have a block number feature....find a company that offers that and switch...

also should be able to keep you cell number when you switch...do not know if that is possible yet for cell phones...anybody?

hey i am from vancouver and i have been getting these calls for over 3 weeks and its mostly from monday to saturday in the morning from 10.00 to 11.00. I have been trying to call this number back...... do you think fido will be charging me long distance call if i had called back?? and what else can i do to stop this call.....

Ce numéro provient d'une compagnie affiliée à Fido mais assez indirectement. Vous n'avez qu'a appeler Fido et demander à ce que l'on retire votre numéro de la liste de diffusion de cette compagnie. Cela prendra environ 48heures pour que leur liste soit à jour et vous ne devruez plus recevoir d'appel de ce numéro! Sur ce, bonne journée à toutes et à tous

I just received call from this number and they asked me if I am happy with FIDO. They state that this call will not be charged and ask if I have a couple minute for a survey. I said sure and by the end of the phone call I received $10 off of my currently FIDO plan. Plus, after that conversation, I never receive anymore call from this number!

just got a call, i knew it was scam seeing the number on my display...but i was curious...it was some newspaper "le devoir" to sell me their [***]

Atelka is a company outsourced by Fido.
They don't leave messages because the are not allowed to. If you don't answer, they cannot put you down as a refusal to speak, as you didn't say anything.
The calls do not use any airtime minutes. They are free.
If you want to stop receiving calls, maybe you should pick up the phone and say so instead of letting them waste their time and yours by calling several times a day.

I picked up They keep calling once every 2 days while I'm at work.

I emailed Fido this morning to be taken off the calling list, we'll see what happens.

I just got this call again, I usually get 1 or 2 calls a day.

I called Fido as they are my wireless provider and spoke to a really helpful agent.  He gave me the web address to a government website "National do not call list".

Don't be surprised they don't know what they are doing.

I made a complaint to FIDO and a supervisor called me - I asked him will I be charged for this call he said no. Sure enough once I hung up I was charged for the call so I made a complaint against supervisor ... There are a real joke hire people with absolutely no knowledge of the base cell configuration I had one tell me "What is an IP address" incredible

Someone from this number called me while I was in the car, and I had to get very sharp with them before they would get off the phone. They asked if they should call back at a better time and I said sure. They called several times the next week, and I finally answered the sixth(!) call and lit into the guy for wasting my time. I told him clearly that I was a satisfied Fido customer, but I would no longer be if they continued calling. I expicitly told him never to call my number again or I would be reporting him to Fido and cancelling my account.
I haven't heard from them since.

He told me that they dont' answer because their system doesn't recognise the voice when there are some noises. Anyway... Will see what happens. I was told it will take 31 day before I'll disappear from their list. :)
