I have had the same experience as others. The number is now showing up as 'Unavailable'. I registered and reported their info on the National Do Not Call Registry: www.donotcall.gov. Thanks, Imm0rtal, for the company info!

person who answered their phone after leaving message meant to alarm me as urgent told me they are a group of financial companies and asked if I was getting calls from them, I told they stank and hung up.

Recieved a few calls from this out fit and they are getting to be quiet a pain in the butt .They refuse to tell me why they are calling

Called my home and business over a $28.06 bill.  You can go into their web site, enter your phone number and your phone and you will see what they are calling you about.  I don't even owe this!!!

Left a message I returned the call and they said that they were looking for someone named Niq Bunche. I told them this was my personal cell they were calling and they claim they will remove my number and i will not hear from them again. VERY BIZZARE.

they keep calling my phone for someone else and leaving rude messages - for a Stephanie Trinor - I keep having them take me off their list and they still call all the time all hours of the day.. and to top it off.. they won't tell me where they got my number from but one time i called and they had just got it the day before... and said she reported it to them

Left a creepy voicemail ... with a hint of threat if the call was not returned  .... that "the file" would be closed without input.  When you call back, it prompts you to leave a message.  Shady.

I was also called by 866-408-8299.  Their automated message indicated that if I did not return their call by 5pm, legal action would be taken against me.  The fact that the time zone was unspecified is so highly suspicious that I would never respond to such a call.  Furthermore, I am an attorney, and know that no legal proceeding can be conducted without either:  (1) Personal notification, via a process server, of a specific civil claim, allowing the defendant to appear in a local courtroom to contest the charge; or (2) police action, usually in the form of a criminal complaint that could lead to an arrest, which in some cases might result in false imprisonment.  It is very doubtful that either of these tactics would be employed.  Another possible tactic might be a negative report to a credit rating agency, but that is unlikely, since this "group" probably doesn't know the identity of the individuals that they are auto-dialing, and probably cannot afford the consequences of false credit reporting.

Rude to the core! This is a collection agency who were so disrespectful over A BOOK that I ordered and had asked for a letter of confirmation (with information because I didn't remember ordering this book)over 2 months ago..which I never received and they confirmed they never sent but were nasty anyway.

there was no mention on the company and demanded a call to them in return with no information either on what the call was about

I received a call from this company on my cell phone after 10pm. It stated that I had a file claim against me and I am facing repercussions that will cause me great hardship if I don't contact the number. I have perfect credit and am not accustomed to having calls from collectors, etc. But, this was threatening and frightening. I could not sleep all night wondering who this is? It said Takhar Group. I want to let my attorney know so they can contact this company and tell them it is illegal to threaten a person. Also, how many people are they doing this to and for what reason? Who are they?

they have been calling me for years asking for someone i never heard of.  when my husband was dying from terminal cancer, they called even if i begged them not to.  they continued for years after his death.  I found if i hung up immediately and dialed star 57, a record would be made of the call and held for information and i could inform the police.  i did and thought it had ended.  i just got another call from them after a 3 day pause.  i will again report it to the police and believe i have a right to get a lawyer.  i hope a lawyer will be able to help, as they paid no attention to the police.

Who is calling me and my husband?  We don't owe anyone or anything.  I am disabiled and you are wasting my time for me to get up and get the phone.  STOP CALLING ME

Received several calls from them, asked them to send me a bill, they won't, all they wanted was my checking account. When I told him I wasn't comfortable with this the person whom I was speaking with got very nasty and rude. I told him I had the website and that I would make a payment on-line. Of course I didn't. I did find out who sent me to collections and will now research this and will call the company myself and settle the debt with them. If this is a closed debt or "charge off" I will still try to settle with the company. I should not have to pay my money to someone so rude and arrogant.

Had a call left on answering machine this morning indicating that it was urgent that the call be returned or action would be taken. They did not leave the message for anyone in particular and quickly hurried through the name of the company they are representing. The hours of business they left for us to return the call was 8:30am to 5:00pm ET.
If they do not plainly tell me who they are with and a description of what they want they do not need to expect me to return their call.  The "It is urgent that you return this phone call" does not threaten me. If a company cannot be more detailed in their message they probably have no business calling in the first place.
I noticed one person in here mentioned something about medical bill collections - we have no medical bills so I know they are not me for that reason.
