We got a call from them last night and we're about to call them back.  A tip to everyone:  the surest way to get douchbags like this off your back is to give them a taste of their own medicine.  First, you need to call and settle the matter and prove to them that what they're doing is a scam. For instance, in the state I live in, you cannot collect on a debt that is more than a certain amount of years old.  Well, most calls from debt collectors who buy the debts from the original 'owners' are buying it because the debt has 'expired'.  Just remind them of something of that sort just so you know you have that covered.  Then, unleash the power of a thousand sun gods on them.  Prank them non-stop.  Use a Dr. Phil soundboard, use a child's cheap voice changer, scream really loud into the receiver, insist you want to pay your debt in Canadian dollars, anything that will piss them off.  You get to act like a kid again so its a lot of fun.  Then they eventually plead with you to stop calling them.  And the best part about it is, they're running a scam, so there is absolutely nothing they can do about you pranking them.  What are they going to do?  Call the cops and say "Uh, yeah, we're trying to run a scam, but these [***] won't leave us alone."  Heck no they won't.  I'm about to prank these [***] right now, so I must go.

I got a call from these a holes who called me while I was eating dinner with my wife and 2 kids and come to find out they are looking for someone who doesn't even live at my address or not even the same last name.  I'm so sick of these people calling for the wrong person I could scream.  It does no good to tell these dumb sh@#s to take my number off the list because obviously they don't

I got a computer-generated call from this number stating I MUST return the call between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. EST.  Funny how they call late at night when they know you can't return the call.  I looked them up online, and they're a collection agency attempting to collect a debt that is definitely not mine.  This is a scam.  I left them a voicemail stating I was filing a complaint with the police (since my cell phone provider told me that's what I need to do). i have been called twice from this number urgently requesting a immediate call back or website visit . it doesnt clairfy anything as to what they r persuing ; debt ,offer, scam?  so im not going to pay any attention to it after visiting this site ........thnx for the info

Just had a call or more like a recorded message at 8:40pm telling me to contact a company in reguards to my file & that a decision will be made without my consent etc...the company was called Takhargroup I was given their phone number & web site www.Takhargroup.com this was a threating message from beginning to end.I was told that I HAD to call them & make arrangements to pay a debt??? Also when I called the number I go a recording yet again telling me to leave my FULL name AND phone number....HA HA HA what a joke I mean the jacka**es called ME to begin with.Whats up with this & how can they keep getting away with this crap?

Someone from this number keeps calling me and the number to call back on, no one ever answers. who are there people?

I got call November 5, 2009.  said urgent call back number 1-866-408-8299, sounded like wwwtakhrgroup.   this site phone number only safe site I could find. everybody else and computer gives www.taggert.com.  this is by my virus protection, unchecked or unknown site.  these sites usually will end up with a red X.  which unsafe, leave site.

I have never had any dealings with these people.  until they phone me telling me what they want I do not feel safe talking to them.

i got a call from them today but don't know who they are. i called it but just a voice mail saying to leave a message but i didn't. don't know who they are.

Got an Urgent mesage to call... i called and was told I owed money for books ordered 3 years ago and If I didnt pay now she would ruin mt credit..This lady was yelling at me and threatning me and refused to let me speak..she was rude and hung up on me because I would not give her credit card number over the phone right that minute....i asked for web site and she would not give to me...i wanted to check legitimacy of call...She was actually yelling at me...

This place keeps calling and leaving the standard urgent call back message.
These calls are very annoying, we don't owe anybody any money, how can this be stopped?
On my caller ID it says it is a tollfree number for the company name.

I've gotten calls from this company before and then again today.  Everytime I call back it's either busy or they want me to leave a message.  I don't owe any money to any book order or any medical bills. Seems most people that have posted are in agreement it's a scam.

I just checked the account tied to my phone number.  I never purchased books from the company they are stating.  Will ignore all future calls and messages from them.  Will call my provider and have the number blocked as well.
