    @ Gary,
when you say home, u mean ur home in India?
yes, they may come to your home also.
But they can never do anything.
    It is only a tactic.
Never yield to any pressure or sugar coated words.
In India, they cannot threaten you or compel you. they have no right.
Call Police, these gunda guys will run away.
Tell Police that you are taking up the matter directly with the bankers and so no middlemen are required.

Don't worry they won't arrest you in India. Normally it is collection agency who make your living hell as a tactic to get the money as they get a share out of it. But you have enough support and brave you can visit the collection agency office and threaten them back not to harass you or family. Even there was a supreme court verdict against this type of goonda activity to collect money. So don't worry.

Guys going further with this..I had posted a reply in August 2012, now here's what happened, my brother in law works in a bank so he had knowledge of all this, so he asked me to speak to gupta and ask him for the warrant number. He was numb then nothing happened, then my bro in law and his friends started calling yadav and he was [***] bricks. And now it has been more than a year noone called.

Part 2- another agency from Mumbai started calling me on behalf of rak bank, girl was abusive and someone from these roadside people, id id not react, these calls became routine every month. Then finally spoke to her boss Nagesh a very decent guy and good to talk to , i told him the situation and somewhere he blurted out " sir pleas pay kar dijiye, mera target poora nahi ho raha". So friends do u realize what they do....they play stupid games to make yu pay and pay means anything.

am not justifying what i did..it was something i was forced to do...as my boss had planned to put me in jail...Someday i do wish to clear all that i have but, talk to these guys and ask them for legal documents and other stuff they have no answer.

wow... really useful discussion going on here.
one week ago i received a call from this number and i was very much frightenend and i dont know waht to do.
but after reading these comments from different different people now i understand the reality.
only one thing i want to tell, if we have money we will definitely pay, we are not cheaters. but we lost employment and we cannot go back to UAE because of the ban, and here is where the problem is. we cannot repay unless we have a salary that gives us the repaying capacity. So no need to worry, nothing illegal we did. it is only the situation that has lead our life this way. we did not cheat bank, the bank only cheated us by going for collection agent and for check bounce.

    Dear Friends,

I think we all have been sufferring and maybe its time we do something about it. i have confided in my family and we are planning to launch a complaint against these so called mushroom companies. I would appreciate if people can come forward and share their experiences. The more people we get stronger the case becomes. I am a resident of Mumbai and people from all over india can contact me regarding the same. Remember friends this is illegal and if we pay them we might sponsor some anti national movement against our own motherland.
    email: chaturvedi.sameer@yahoo.com

Please write to me we are also planning to move the same material to media

    Regards
    Sameer

The best thing you do is to negotiate with the UAE bank and start repaying your debt ASAP.
You can escape from the debt recovery agents, but you cannot escape from the UAE law!
UAE government has every right to seek extradition of the criminal (remember, bouncing the cheque is a crime).
Keep in mind, there is extradition treaty between India and UAE.

Mr. D B Varghese, you are a scavenger working for these collection agencies who basically feast on dead meat. You and your company have no ethics while you say that these defaulters don't have. Matter of fact you don't have a real nice profile to do a decent job but found a easy job where that is what you are good in. Rob from people and make easy money. Guess what I almost have more than a million AED in debt with these banks in UAE. And I have travelled to places all over the world except UAE, which I know I cant go. So stop trying to scare these poor people who really were sincere ones paying off their debts as long as they could. These banks on the other hand have made it a point on milking these poor ones and making easy money too. Arent they such scoundrels who have no brains at all, not trying to maintain them and get back the debt. Instead they spoiled these peoples life and as a matter UAE BANKS GO F--K OFF!!! and SO MAY U TOO!!! Try getting it from the people who know how to screw you as well in India. I promise if anyone comes to me, they will go to jail, he and his family will have the toughest time in their life and personally I will ensure that these UAE collection companies in India close down. Why the hell should I pay when the banks don't want it in the first place? Haha... I can use that money to sue people like you in India.

Guys, my fellow mates, don't worry at all with these scaremongers. They are just people who work for these collections agencies trained to take advantage of your genuineness. And they are well trained to tackle you so that you end up saying you owe these banks. If you are sure that you don't need to return back to UAE, be strong and retort back. If in extreme cases note their numbers and ask for their details. If possible use a voice recorder to record the conversation and file a police case and a criminal suit with these proofs. That will be the end of these people, trust me. 1 case like this and they will be screwed. Read the RBI regulations for debt collection too in India. 3 years and the debt is written off. But if you agree that you owe them, then the time limit increases. So deny totally that you owe. Let these banks come and prove your debt which they cant in any way. Even these collectors don't have a statement of account but a total exorbitant figure that these banks sold to them. In fact if you are paying off, the banks actually get 20-25 percent. And these scavengers keep the rest. That is again against RBI regulation where you can file for money laundering. In fact Interpol will be behind them. :) So keep it cool and relax. If you have saved something from UAE, enjoy it and use it to fight back. If they call your relatives too, ensure you get the proof that they harassed your relative.
On the contrary if you wish to go back to UAE, manage to get the email IDs of these banks and communicate directly with them. You will end up paying around 20-25% to clear of the debt to get a no liability letter and thus remove the police case. Period. You can go back to UAE. Well, you can check all these with your legal counsel too. He/she will guide you much better. All the best and god bless my dear suffering Indian bros and sisters

Forgot to mention that all these collection agencies who call you here have their head office in Dubai and work illegally on collecting UAE dues here. Hence they ask you to send money to UAE and they don't collect. That again is against RBI rules when it reaches certain amount. Check on RBI norms on transferring money abroad. Think about it and you'll understand how to screw these people. Never ever negotiate with these people. They will screw you royally exploiting you. Neither can they promise on anything from the bank if you ask them the documents you require. So why take the risk. Instead deal with the bank directly. They will say you haven't contacted the bank. Tell em that you will once you are ready to settle. Till then don't bother me. I wont pay.
    All the best

Shantini, how stupid of you. to say that. UAE extraditing people from India on cheque bouncing case. Have you any idea of the formalities and money involved in doing so. I guess the bank not only lost the money these debtors owe but will lose double triple the amount. hahaha... you are such a loser working for these collection agents. Go do some decent job girl and god will bless you and you family. Guess what call someone and if that someone is brave and brainy, you and you family end up in jail. but in India.
My friends, don't get scared on such comments at all. You are totally safe in India. And debt is a civil case anywhere in the world. The bank if they can come to Indian courts, you can sue them for your loses. They will have no stand in Indian courts cause they deliberately bounced your cheque without your knowledge and presence, which in fact is a crime in India.

once last word of advice my fellow friends. Don't be conscious of the money you owe these banks. Yes you did take a loan, maybe enjoyed and did not manage your finance well enough. But think of the bank. Did they give you these loans for free? They in fact chased you, pleased with you and did all sort of tactics to make you fall for it. Why? Cause that's a racket altogather specially the credit card network. by the time you skipped, I would say most of the would have paid more than what you owe. Whats left is again profits for the bank and these collector racket playing along with the banks. Facts. There is much more on this if you research a bit.
So keep aside your consciousness cause in this world every damn people is behind money without ethics. You were a scapegoat. Simple. Now you know what to do.

Chaturvedi Sameer if you are serious on this, I also am totally in to eradicate these debt collection agencies from India to bring them before the law. I have collected quite lot of proofs, contact details including office address and recorded conversations which I was planning to take to police and file a criminal case against these agencies. At least bring to court and give these people who called me, the hardest time of their life. Don't they deserve to get back what they gave to these genuine NRI who toiled their life to make these banks richer, themselves going down the gutter? And much more I have researched quite a lot to sue them with pretty solid international crimes that can lead the owners (I have collected their details too) and employees of these collection agencies in Dubai/India branch where they will realistically face the Interpol.
I have also kept aside a lil money sponsored by the UAE banks for this. haha. Let me know if you are really serious.
