you're just validating your phone number with them. - Irritated!| 1 replyI've been getting at least 1 call a day from this number. I usually delete...but a few times have answered...with no one at the other end. Irritating!!!!
- misskIt is just Royal Bank of Canada calling. I never answer either, but it's no big deal, really.
- Caller: RBC

- Eric| 2 repliesI've been getting calls from this number twice daily for the last month. I finally decided to answer it, and got a female rep on the line. She basically was calling on behalf of RBC, trying to sell me some kind of accident insurance. I stopped her and asked if I owed them any money, and she said I didn't. I Asked if she could kindly remove me from any calling lists I was on, and she said that she would. She was very polite and courteous on the phone. I asked which company she was with, and she said it was Zedd Customer Solutions L.P. I looked into that name and found that on "June 23rd, 2010, a group of Canadian investors acquired TRG Customer Solutions"
So there you have it. I will update if they keep calling me.- Caller: Zedd Customer Solutions L.P.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jake replies to JThe number is from RBC (Royal Bank Canada) and the reason you are probably getting a call from them in the US is because the United States couldn't operate a financial institution to save their lives. Canadian Banks are number one in the world for soundness, the US was 39th (World Monetary Report) and that's largely why we didn't have a recession to speak of.
Just call the RBC customer service line and tell them to put you on the "do not call list". - Lindsay replies to Eric| 1 replyEric thank you! Your information is so helpful! I don't bank with RBC, but my boyfriend does, and we already have life insurance, so this time when I answer, I will wait long enough to finally have an agent pick up on their end, and kindly ask them to remove me like you did! I just added my phone numbers to the CRTC National DO NOT CALL list off of the Canadian government website, and that will take 31 days to fully cycle in, in case i am not home to get this next call from RBC...
- Josh replies to Irritated!hello Ive been getting these same phone calls.. is there any way to get rid of this crap?
- ManitobaI've been getting these calls on my mobile phone for about two months (around December 2010)
They would call sometimes 2x a day...but mostly 1x a day. I would never answer, but I finally called back based on advice in this thread.
The answering machine message said they were TRG Customer Solutions calling on behalf of RBC Insurance.
I called the RBC Royal Bank main line and politely asked to be taken off THEIR calling list. The CSR then transferred me to RBC Insurance and told me to ask taken off their list as well. Apparently, Royal Bank keeps several lists for each department/division.- Caller: TRG Customer Solutions on behalf of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Insurance

- CAMILLELOTS of calls to my home # from 8772895108 its so annoying... supper time usually... no msg ever left
- Aaron replies to Hdiddy| 1 replyI do have the "right to be not disturbed on my cellphone". And I think the point here is that the Do not Call Registry doesn't work (especially if, in this case, the company is working on behalf of a company o already 'have a relationship with') nor does their internal system. In fact, their autodialer hangs up on er when I answer which is just annoying and irresponsible of them. So with those three things in mind, I think people have a right to be upset.
- Kris replies to JI finally answered it's just my RBC bank calling from an out sourced calling center. None of you have to keep getting the calls. 877 is a legit area code, toll free. No one trying to scam, there just marketing for more business. You can request that they remove your number from their call list. That should stop it. If not try to get someones name be it a supervisor or manager then call this person back 2-3 times every night. Then just talk about the weather or bad mouth other banks and ask them why don't people just buy safes?
- fedup| 1 replystop calling [***]
- LilyI am also a member of RBC who keeps getting these calls at the same time every day.
- MALAKASGot a call from 1-877-289-5108, so what! I I never pick up unknown calls starting with 1-877/ 1-866/ 1-800.
Thank God to caller ID'S- Caller: 1-877-289-5108
- ChikeeSomeone calling from this tel# claimed to be from Visa with an alert. I called Visa myself and they advised that it is not them. Also a search on this number would have brought up RBC hits and it did not.
- Josh replies to JIf u call back on that number u will never get thru!!!the number to call back is 877-709-3832
- fed up replies to Hdiddydude... no one likes that [***]. If I want it, I'll sign up on my own... otherwise, stop calling. Been on NDCL for several years, and it doesn't seem to help because of this loophole, which is, in my opinion, a crock of [***].
- MaryThis number calls numerous times a day, claiming to be RBC. Is this correct? I have asked them to stop calling so much, I hope they do.
- Caller: RBC
- Hanno| 1 replyReceived my wake up call today at 9:08 am from these [***], number is also on the NDCL, I will report them to the authorities, but then again knowing the Canadian government, nothing will be done. So i guess I will take matters in my own hand and visit their call center to straighten them out.
