The number is for Sears protection agreement Department.

This number just called and i didnt answer. When i called a minute after, machines says this number is temporarily unavailable.

The caller 877 889 2024 is Sears. I've just bought a Fridge and Stove from Sears. I am getting these calls to extend my warranty for two years.  I called them back and asked to be removed from their calling list.  I was told that this would happen today.  I'll let the list know if I receive any future calls.

This number calls me every day and when I answer it hangs up, or sounds like that. The line is disconnected and no one ever answers.

I've been getting calls from this number basically daily for I don't know how long. I never answered and they never left a message. I finally decided to call back that number today after reading on this blog that it was from Sears.
An answering system must have recognized my number and a recording said they had called me today to offer me an extended warranty on a purchase I made in November and they would try calling me again tomorrow. It also offered me the option to speak to a customer service by dialing 1, which I did. I then had the chance to tell them that I did not want an extended warranty on my purchase and to stop calling me to offer me anything. The lady from customer service was fine and said that she was now closing this case. Let's hope they don't start calling me for other purchases I might make in the future :-)

A year ago, after purchasing a treadmill from Sears Canada for about $500, I started getting numerous calls from this number trying to sell me an extended warranty program.  A lot of auto-dials and hangups and silence. And eventually a sales person. I indicated very clearly I had no interest whatsoever to get any extended warranty, I did not want to hear about it, I did not want to purchase it, and to please remove my number from their list.  Well the salesman on the line said - oh well we will invoice you then for the warranty! I said I did not wish to receive a bill, invoice, or any correspondence regarding this - and he stated that an invoice is not really a bill, and then hung up on me.  After phoning back and speaking to a supposed manager, this was supposed to be resolved - nothing was to be mailed to me and the calls were to stop forever.  And then a couple of weeks later an invoice arrived in the mail for over $300.  How stupid do you think we are?  Another call back to Sears warranty manager - they have promised to not call me again about this.

Well guess what, one year later and the calls are starting up again.  And the rep seems to have nothing on file about what happened before, although they have all my other personal details from the purchase. And a call back to management to complain yet again, and they promise yet again to remove my number, but that it might take 3 weeks to do so.

Well Sears- I have made a point of not purchasing a single item from your stores this year as this was so annoying, and will now continue to shop elsewhere.  And please understand that even traditionally polite Canadians will eventually crack on your telemarketers.

I receive numerous calls from this number, often two-three times a day.  Not sure how they got my unlisted cell phone number, but I have never answered a call, I do not have free air time during the day, and they have never once left a message.

WOW!!!  This many complaints and NO ONE is doing anything about this.  No wonder they continue to harrass the REAL workers of this society.....just hook up a fax line to your number and let it screech away at them when they call.  Works.... :)

I did not know my shaw phone (that I have had for years) had this feature. I have a long list of these robo-dialing a**holes that will now be TERMINATED!!!  Thanx a million for your advice. I am a shift worker so this is a very happy day!

I emailed Sears customer support - they told me for privcy reasons I had to call (whatever the 800 number was).  I replied - no - I never phoned sears asking to be harassed daily with 4-6 phone calls at all hours.
Take me off.
They replied they couldn't - because of privacy.
I replied they had already violated my privacy by calling me without my consent.
I then stated I had their email refusing to comply with my Do Not Call Request,
and would be filing a DNC complaint with the CRTC.

5 minutes later I got an email back saying my account was flagged for no contact.

Tomorrow (Feb 27) is the test.

si vous avez acheter un appareil électrique chez sears appeler 1-800-361-6665 et demander à être retirer de leur liste .ca prend quelques secondes et vous ne serez plus d'éranger

On appelé deux fois...  et toujours pas de réponse lorsqu'on je décroche. humm

This number calls about 3-4 time a day I don't anwser but I am getting sick of it :(
